This sounds exactly like my school. We face the exact same issues daily. Homelessness, hungry, etc is just the tip of the iceburg for us. We worry about our kids during breaks because we know they face challenges each day. We have "caught being good" tickets that the kids can earn and we celebrate on the first Friday of the month.

Wow! This is just superb! Her story really makes me cry for more. She has been a great inspiration to all of us. And thanks Ellen for bringing up her story which has made people to come forward and start giving back to the society. It's good to know that the kids are praising each other instead of saying bad things, that's the most powerful part that all the kids there will cherish in their hearts.
