AlphaGrip Used as a Gaming Keyboard

Using back keys for strafing seems too much like dreamcast controls. I'd probably map the forward back left and right to four buttons on the front left, though I'm not sure what would feels most comfortable for that. Maybe JYCV or CLKY. Do you have any suggested mappings for fps games where movement could be located on front of the controller?

@RyouSirius It's easier to learn to speed type on an AlphaGrip (30-60 hours to get to 40-60 wpm) than to learn to play the piano (years?). And it's even easier to learn to play a game with an AlphaGrip than to learn to speed type. Not surprisingly, musicians and gamers tend to learn to use an AlphaGrip faster than mere mortals.

"Pawn" my ass? Do you play chess? The AlphaGrip IS a USB keyboard and trackball in a game controller form factor.

Could you beat me at chess? Actually, the AlphaGrip, in its current embodiment, is probably not suited for serious gaming. Its primary benefit is to enable comfortable, lean-back gaming (although if you wanted to play a game while standing up without a surface to support your keyboard and mouse, the AlphaGrip is superior). Also, you can probably type faster with a keyboard, but many people prefer comfortable, lean-back typing at 50-70 wpm over deskbound typing at 120 wpm.

Dont be such a smart ass + id like to see you type full words not and or it is shit...... + if i was going to go for Comfy gaming id buy an ACTUAL Game controller and use a wireless keyboard which i could still use standing up... so fuck you or the Logitech blutetooth keyboard this thing looks bulky and ugly, It allows you to play PC video games without having to sit up at a desk. We started selling the first version of the AlphaGrip (Model AG-5) about 3 years ago. In March 2008 we sped up the trackball with a firmware modification and named the device iGrip.

I was just trying to show that you can play a keyboard-type game with an AlphaGrip, which combines the benefits of a game controller form factor with the functionality of a keyboard and mouse. FYI, a number of users have indicated that playing an online game such as World of Warcraft is more enjoyable with an AlphaGrip, but no one has posted a demo yet.

This Might be a better demonstration if the guy had a clue what he was doing and didn't start at the end of the game... Competing Doom 3 doesn't make the alphagrip a good keyboard!
