Guys, you have a nice voice, and are probably good musicians in general. However the attraction of the original for me is the badass beat and bombastic production, going with the strong vocal. This has none of that, so it's considerably weak in that sense, and I hope you have some more appropriate songs (and no I'm not a music nazi, don't stress).

Nice. I found this by accident (my name is also Ian Barker and was looking for a friend's video of me at a performance, heh).

Good version - it's amazing how well it works as an acoustic arrangement - a bit like Matt Weddle's cover of "Hey Ya" which also, like your video, transforms a raucous bubblegum pop track into a powerful balladic love song.

Hey, thanks for the comment. Much appreciated. I think, if I remember correctly, the chords are Am, C, C/B or there abouts. There may have been an Em in there but I can't really remember. If you can be arsed watching the vid, if you look closely at what I'm playing you can probably figure it.

this version is absoloutely amazing, I do like the 2 acoustic versions I've heard of this.

By yourselves and Frightened Rabbit, both different but both amazing. It puts a more romantic sense to words that were already there.

Guys fantastic!!! And just what I was looking for thanks. I remember this when it was underground back in 93 (first release). My wife loves it and on her birthday I am doing a small acoustic set and wanted to include this ( I thought a mad idea) and low and behold you have done it!
