  • Thanks for the upload! I will use this to become more independent! No more mum ironing my clothes!

  • Your videos are brilliant, but i just cant do what you do, you seem to have the correct hamd movements for this technique....the flick movements , no idea, it takes me 10 minutes ot iron a shirt and also took me 40 minutes to iron 2 pants today and its not good and not bad. i need more help

  • @icsoka Hello, can we ask what type of iron and ironing board you're using when you iron?

  • @TMLewinOFFTHECUFF Hello, I am sorry to interrupt your conversation, but can you please specify the type of ironing board you are using, or what we are supposed to use in order to get pristine results? I live in California, so if you can take that into consideration, when mentioning brands and such, it will be really helpful. Thank you in advance.

  • I feel like ironing!!! You are amazing. Thank you.

  • Great series of videos - It came in handy in my hotel room. Still, I managed to daydream for a moment and burn my trousers. I think practice on cheaper garments is in order.

  • Thank you for your useful content... I am quite inexperienced in this matter, so I have two "basic" questions. 1. What sorts of fabric have to be pressed to avoid shine? Only wool, or also cotton or linnen? 2. Out of curiosity, what happens to the fabric, that it starts to shine after ironing? Thank you.

  • @Shortymort Any thick fabrics or fabrics with any sort of pile/raised surface are prone to shine; so that would apply to cotton as well as wool and wool mixes. Shine occurs because the heat and pressure applied causes flattening of the fibres – sometimes this is referred to as ‘bruising’ - It is like polishing the fibres. Pressing with a cloth between the iron and the fabric can avoid this or even better, just use steam rather than pressure to get creases out.

  • wow

  • I thought the crease was a pleat....so why wouldn't you just use the pleat as a guide and follow it all the way to the waste?

  • @jareds1007 Hello, it really depends on the style of the trousers. The guide above ensures that the trousers are perfectly pressed on both sides.

  • Excellent - I'm not quite at the standard of my local ironing shop yet but it made a big difference - really noticable when I put them back on the hanger. Thanks.

  • hi........ u did nt explain hoe to press the opposite side of trousers becoz i do manage to create a perfect crease but wen i press the other sise of leg i get double creases

  • excellent!!!

  • Do you have any advice concerning the use of starch? Will it damage good wool trousers? Thank you for the interesting video.

  • @ponybcurtis Hello, we wouldn’t recommend using starch on wool trouser because it could leave a white residue on the surface of the fabric and will not look very nice especially on dark colours. You could, however, spray a little on the inside along the crease line which would help to give a sharp crease but this will be tricky if the trousers are lined! It will not damage the fabric.Hope that helps!

  • @TMLewinOFFTHECUFF That is VERY helpful. Thank you so much. I have added your video to my favourites so I can consult it from time to time.

  • @ponybcurtis We're glad we could help!

  • GREAT VIDEO THAKS

  • Ur most welcome to help us :)

  • what iron is that? Is there a specific one you recommend?

  • @vijaymd44Hello, we use a Phillips in this video, but any ironing that has spray and steam function with a no stick plate should do the job correctly.

  • nice one mate great vid.

  • Hi, I need Sharp Creases for the dress pants. And I use starch. But I have some questions. When I use the starch should I spray the inside of the pants and iron on the outside? Will this reduce the chance of white shiny residue? And Can I use starch on pants that are poly and cotton pleas answer !! PLEASE !! I use starch because I don't use a steam iron and won't be getting one.

  • @kmorsey75 We hope that the tips in our video helped you out when you were ironing your shirts and trousers for work.

  • You also made me iron my work trousers as well

  • Obviously there is no woman in the house to do it for him

  • what's shine?

  • @aimoto it's like when your suit's trousers have been ironed too much, they develop that sort of "shine" it's something to do with when the fabric is heated up too much.

  • @aimoto If you apply to much heat to the fabric it will give the pants a bit of a shine or sheen. Especially easy to do this to wool and such.

  • I had my pants adjusted by taking in the in inseam and a new crease was made. This crease no longer matches the position you identify by aligning the inseams. Do I have a mess on my hands?

  • Is that a slim fit or fully fitted shirt you are wearing?

  • what shirt are you wearing? what is the brand and fit?

  • can i use starch spray for trousers as well, or is it reserved for dress shirts?

  • You can tell he's a professional,"you don't want bits of fluff all over your midnight lady suit"

  • @Papa2daSmurf He said "navy".

  • @Papa2daSmurf

I think he said "Midnight navy suit"

  • @baderuk73 @Papa2daSmurf Hi both, John is ironing a Midnight Navy suit in the video above. We hope that this helps to clear things up for you.

  • This video must be the most professional way.........thanks a lot for sharing!

  • @mcfartson Taking care of one's own belongings is a satisfying and manly task. Pressing your own trousers actually takes less time than running them to the cleaners anyway.

  • Excellent!!!

  • finally found it ...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!thanks

  • These videos were incredibly useful to me. I now look forward to shopping with you.

    Best Regards.

  • Awesome!

  • thanks, it was useful. That kind of help i needed:)

  • It's 5 o'clock some where
