Ive heard queens version many many times but I like this better. I guess its just because green day is one of my favorite bands, so i like their style more than queens.Dont get me wrong queen is a genious and amazing band and they made the song. Queens version is probally better because its the original but I just like this more.

@VaultMusic105 Sorry but the extension of Freddie Mercury is not comparable with the extension of the green day's singer. I agree with you, it's a good performance of this songs, but try to listen the original performance played at wembley '86 or at live aid '85. You'll notice the difference.

Of course, your right, Billy(green days singer) would be the first to admit that Freddie Mercury is a much better singer(hes a legendary singer,one of the best). Maybe its becuase green day uses a little more distortion, they have some cool piano and guitar fills that arent in the original and they have that amazing epic ending but for some reason, I love this version of that song. But its an amazing song anyways!

FUCK OFF ASSHOLE! Queen were amazing! Green Day only cover WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS because they respect and admire them!! Queen were true artists and made amazingly unique music! Bands today don't have an eighth of the talent that Queen did!! Except MAYBE Green Day has half the talent Queen had.
