  • OMG MAKERBOT PLZ REMAKE THIS but this time make the recording time longer so we can see it fall

  • where is ufo?

  • How far did it travel?

  • y el momento en el que cae donde esta????

  • Steven looks a bit...green. Must be afraid of heights.

  • guess the 5 minutes and 52 seconds of missing film was the taping of the box and making sure everything was good to go.... too bad, i think the majority of people, myself included, were mostly interested in the descent rather than ascent.... even with that little of weight, it would have fell at a much higher velocity compared to the rate at which it rose

  • i came here to see it falling! gahhhh!!!!

  • who watched this till the end of the video thuumbs up

  • i'd like to see balloon falling :( but it was a great experiment! :)

  • i watched the entire video. this is incredible !

  • Does heaven looks like that?! Amazing view!!!

  • Thumbs up if you actually watched the entire video without skipping. xD

  • too bad the camera died, I really wanted to see the footage it falling.

  • @AscTuber me too!

  • imagine being tied to that balloon and then floating upwards to your death...

  • anyone got any interesting times to watch?

any ufo's found in this footage? :P

  • pity that there is no record as falling camera

  • Do you guys know how high it got before the balloon popped?

  • lol good

  • steven .. your above the clouds !

  • Hahah that's so damn creepy

  • how did the gadgets survive the fall?

  • KSP Kolbert Space Program

  • damn the drop could have been a better footage!

  • This is cool, if you put your son in there then it would have been on cnn. if someone could donate a smartphone and justintv or ustream cast a whole flight live.

  • I've never seen Colbert so peacefull and quiet. @1:10:30

  • pause at 1:23:58 for Stephen Colberts face!

  • I'm actually really devastated... I wanted to see the f*&ker fall

  • Almost threw up at the 1 hour mark :S

  • 3 minutes into this and I'm seasick? All that water and air...looks like my hometown.

  • Where did you take this? Which city?

  • how did you find it back. with gps?

  • it's never reaches space though yeah?

  • He never stops smiling! :-D

  • Man this is fucking beautiful, notice the sound when hes approaching to the atmosphere, its fucking awesome

  • This green face will haunt me in my dreams!!

  • How did you find Stephen and the camera after the balloon popped? Did the payload have a transponder?

  • I feel like I just went to space... amazing how the sound slowly faded out as it gained altitude!

  • I JUST SAW HIM BLINK

  • That's sick

  • can i see the original of the liftoff

  • so peacfull

  • When it dropped it probably was erratic if the picture was visible at all. The balloon most likely covered the lens just like in similar videos.

That doesn't take away from how awesome this is though. We get to see some elements of space in HD. Anyone can send a high quality camera up to the limits of our atmosphere. It's so beautiful to look at earth from that altitude. The cloud formations are awe inspiring.

  • Woah i watched this whole thing to find out it doesn't show the drop!

  • @meganlovesjam Dude. It's in the description.

  • After watching this, I was seeing everything in green.

  • I would have loved to see the drop. Do it again with better batteries please :D

  • @jacoschuijer you're right! we faked it, just like the moon landing.

  • @makerbot So *you're* the ones who faked the moon landings! It's good that you have come forward at last!

  • Awesome footage!

  • @makerbot Was the Styrofoam box enough to absorb the landing impact? I am a bit impressed...

  • @late20s nvm, the last few minutes of the other video explained it all. Pretty well executed.

  • Comment removed

  • @jacoschuijer i'm pretty sure it's just blurry because of a lack of near focus on a flip-cam, and because of encoding widgets artifacting up the footage.

  • @jacoschuijer Wow! You sure do know a lot about camera lenses!!

  • @jacoschuijer Another conspiracy nut. Great job fellas, fantastic view.

  • @jacoschuijer

LOL even if it is fake, takes a solid effort to get the camera up there to set the background, derp.

  • @jacoschuijer This isn't fake you idiot, if it was, why put up a 80 minute video of the same head? The head is bouncing a little on the sticks it's attached with to the 'basket'. Just find the video where they show you the process and it'll make you feel embarrassed. Too bad people always think the worst of video's.

  • @jacoschuijer Lol The Heads Close to the Camera.

  • @jacoschuijer Everything, including you, is fabricated.

  • @jacoschuijer ya man! where's the birth certificate?! New World Order Illuminati zionist pigs!

See, I can do it too

  • awesome!!!

  • It's dead silence out there.

  • its almost unreal

  • Awesome job there! Keep going guys :)

  • The dislike bar is the size of justin biebers penis

  • Looked that at 0:29:25 !!! ;D

  • MAN IAM DIZZZY OH OH IAM UP HI GET ME DOWN GET ME DOWN AAAA I WHAT MY MOMMIE HELP... LMAO X 9

  • just use a extention cord next time????

  • cool

  • You should also attach a digital altimeter that records the corresponding altitude with the video's timecode :)

  • At first I thought "this is nuts" but this was really cool! I love it when it gets way up there @ about 54 mins - the quiet and seeing the curvature of the earth and the dark space vs the bright sunny earth. I think I need to go to space for a while :) Great job!

  • if you watched this whole video thumbs up this comment

  • i think i just jizzed in my pants

  • At min 34:00 you can see it literally bouncing off the top of earths atmosphere!

38:00 it goes eerily quite. Nifty!

    54:00 omg ... omgomgomg I'M IN SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE!

  • Next time, use the real Stephen

  • Oh you guys HAVE to do this with the drop. It would be even better than Joel Kittinger's drop from space.

  • looks like google maps

  • i like the part where you show that green guy !

  • That's awesome. Next time could you perhaps get another battery in there so we could see the fall from space?

  • Pretty sure most of us fast forwarded just to see the fall, and you let us all down, how could you?!

  • wish they had used a 4 hour flip cam

  • too bad it coulldn't have landed in Colbert's yard - that would have been a hoot

  • seems like nothing can wipe that smile of Stephen's face LOL

  • This is really awesome! Thank You for sharing this with us all.

  • how far was it from your location ?

  • Great job…but would have been great to see it descending…peace

  • I can see my house from there

  • did you guys have to call any agencies in order to get permission to launch a balloon into space ??

  • I wanted to see it fall:(

  • What is the final altitude?

  • i wanted to see it fall back down :(

  • what did make the camera stop? could it be that low temperature drained its battery? does it work now?

  • @Fernando95391 yes, likely the battery died. they are only good for 2 hours in optimal conditions. the camera still works now.

  • @makerbot Thats such a shame, I really wanted to see it falling!

  • so finally a relliable footage of little green men

  • step your micro sd chip game up

  • @blueishmonkey1 No duh its space lol. No sound.

  • pretty cool!!

  • also can you guys show the drop

  • @skilzdatkilz91323 I think it was so cold it stopped working

  • @skilzdatkilz91323 BTW, i think the last 2 minutes IS steven falling

  • @theawesomemanful yea you're right it looks like it but i wanna see it drop all the way down like meteor

  • @skilzdatkilz91323 nope, the camera stopped recording before the balloon popped.
