Ah ha this appears to be an example of what i have been looking for. I have an old Carlton bike with painted on lettering and was considering getting the lettering re-done when/if i have it painted. How/where is it possible to get the outlines cut by a Roland vinyl cutter?
@peterford1 try to find a t-shirt printing shop and ask them if they will do it for you they usually use these cutters I suppose you'd want the bit they would normally throw away
how do you do ur stencils are they done free hand or can you buy them?,,, i want to do my bike im just waiting for a new compressor,, i want to spray my name (lenny) in fancy writing with some cool design all over the frame so if it can buy the stencil it wouls save some time,,, nice work by the way :O)
We typically send an Adobe Illustrator file to a Roland vinyl cutter, which allows incredible possibilities. The classic method was using masking tape and an X-acto knife.
cheers for the advice mate,, ive finished my bike now, did it all by hand, stripping the paint sanding it to a crome finish then adding a tribal like tattoo disign it took a very long time, its not as much of a pro finish as your work but it did make me happy when i put it all back together,,, ive uploaded it in my videos if you want to take a look :O)

Doing spraymasks allows us a great deal of freedom.
Of course, it's only a small part of what we do.
Thanks for watching.

looks much better than crappy decals! really seperates a top end product from the other rubbish on the market...
