lucky. i was in a different state when my surgery was scheduled :'( i missed it, and i regret missing it everyday!! i hate how i cant breath through my nose!! and i have no insurance...BUT I CANT BREATH THROUGH MY NOSE! Just some questions: Was your surgery done by a surgeon in Philippines or a foreign surgeon? Can you give me the name of your surgeon? How much was your surgery?

My orthodontist said I would need a surgery but in my country, there were no surgeons that could do this sophisticated surgery. So I have to wait for a foreign one coming to my country. But I don't know when s/he will come and when I can have that smile like you!

oh i wasn't referring to the swelling. u had op on ur lower jaw right? to push it in right? so then ur jaw gets 'shorter' in, so isn't the face going to be rounder? =/

oh yes a bit...with mine i dont think it has changed that much..the length is the same but the side view profile is much better.

yes, your face will get more fleshy as you say in this particular case because the size of the lower jaw got reduced and the flesh around is still there, and will not dissapear unless you loose weight.

Congratulations on your successful surgery. I am about 5 months away from my surgery and I envy the stage you are at. I wish my surgery was all over and done with. You have done well and look great :-)

how old are you? because i hear from many people that you cant have it done when you are like 16 or 17 and you seem pretty young to me.

I have to get upper/lower/chin surgery in 1.5 weeks ;/. I can't eat solid food for 6 weeks, what did you eat with the syringe to maintain your weight? You look great btw

i still can't eat solid food. but i think i could eat soft foods on the 4th week..and of course on the 8th week i could probably eat anything that normal people eat. :p

that reassuring... well at least being able to eat soft foods by the 4th week. i have my operation in about a month and i'm afraid i'm gonna lose too much weight :(

i didnt lose much weight myself...the first two weeks would be a bit difficult..but ull get used to it by the third week...time would just fly by u wouldnt even notice it.=p Goodluck with your surgery^^

get a whole bunch of unflavored protein and throw that in your soups for the first couple weeks, its keeping me fat
