@GnariusFestivus They can have bad eyes, they can overheat on walks on hot days, they fart a lot, and they snore really loud. Oh, and my dog Rex breaks a lot of toe nails, so keep them trimmed. They are one of the most comical, lovable, smart, loyal dog breeds out there. They are hyper, but when they are tired, they are out in seconds. Enjoy your new puppy.

Our 8 month old female Boston never stops. Loads of energy. Very hyperactive and destructive if not exercised properly.  When she goes to the dog park she runs around will the big dogs because the little dogs can't keep up. She destroys toys (Bostons are dedicated chewers I'm told), plays rough and always has energy to burn.

Very, very smart and great if you are an active person. A Boston won't be happy just sitting around like a bulldog would. They love adventures.

@GnariusFestivus Some of the problems they are gassy because of the short nose. They snore. as for health only problem I ever seen is with one the tear duct pops out but it popped back in and out. The vet said don't wrry about it if it wasn't bothering her and they can have seziers . Out of the 15 or so I have known 2 had them and not until they were older.

@GnariusFestivus They are crazy in the good way. But this is 11 months old - did you get one? I hope someone warned you... Boston Terriers are like crack, except less processed cocaine and more, you know, dog. But they are similar in the sense that once you have one - hooked for life. No hope of rehab; hell they don't even have rehab centers for BT addiction. GO WITH IT!

We have a Frenchie Bulldog and he loves to play in his kiddie pool! Our guy likes to dunk his face in the water when he lies down.

You have to be careful with dogs that have the "smushed" faces. They are prone to over-heating.

This is precious! I have a boston who will be 7 years old on July 4. She loves to play under the hose and sprinkler, but she never really learned to like the baby tub we got for her; she'd rather jump around under the hose.  She stays in the house most of the day since this is south Mississippi and it's already hot,hot,hot, but I let her out a lot and take her for walks.

I had one that LOVED water. He would swim for fun! I mean he would go in a pool or a pond and swim around just for the heck of it! You could hold his ball underwater and he would even dive for it. Damn, I miss him. Boston's rock!
