  • Great video. By the way, it's been called Skee-Town before I was born and I'm 53!! Born here and will most likely be here all of my life..... by CHOICE.

  • 1.) Does this guy ever catch a fish?

2.) Is it ever winter in Muskegon?

  • pig

  • Could someone please send some good pizza down here in Atlanta? Mr. Scribbs, Big Johns, Village Inn, Fricano's...Next to the big lake and family, that is the biggest thing I look forward to when I visit.

  • The earring should be silver instead of gold, and the mint leaves on the Baker dessert should be strawberry leaves. Oh, yeah, John, great video. Don't sweat the small stuff. Also, by the way, the kids now call Muskegon "Skee Town", isn't that cool! The future cometh.

  • I live here :D

I'm so excited for Baker College's new Culinary school in downtown. I plan on going there =]

  • i am going there in the fall =]@Alipaige01

  • "Muskegon has a lot of plusses. But Muskegon has a lot of problems that need to be addressed: lack of good jobs, poverty, crime, and racial hostility (white against black, black against white)."

REALLY? IMAGINE THAT IN A CITY IN THE UNITED STATES. COMPLETELY MIND BLOWING. GIVE ME A BREAK.

  • hes wearing fullblown fishing gear an just standing foot deep in water..first ya

  • Congratulations to the McGarry's! Professional and not over-produced. Nice dolly (boat?) shot at the beginning. MCC & Baker College culinary arts look great. A few gentle critics for the next edit: Add photos of the West Shore Symphony, Museum of Art, County Museum and Civic Theatre as they're listed. Add a few "Ken Burns effect" pans across the photos. Add a title for the Frauenthal Center, and the old train depot on Western Ave. Who was the fisherman? Nice joke at the end of the credits.

  • I grew up in Muskegon as well, I do miss it alot too. although I do agree with alot of what sager610 says about Muskegon. I left muskegon to join the army, mostly cause I saw little to no opportinity there. I do believe the economy is weak, poverty is rampant and no question alot of racial tension. Currently I live in Concord NH, an hour north of Boston.

  • Wonderful video of Muskegon, well done, very professional. Thank you

  • This is a nice video. Muskegon has a lot of plusses. But Muskegon has a lot of problems that need to be addressed: lack of good jobs, poverty, crime, and racial hostility (white against black, black against white). The video would be more effective if the fisherman lost that damned earring.

  • can i have my 8 minutes back?

  • yay. My hometown. I miss it.
