This violence will continue until the regime is removed from power, just like the revolution in 1979. Unfortunately, many innocent people are killed by brute islamic government authorities in the process. They cannot silence everyone. 70 million people have had enough of this govt. whatever does happen, Iran will never be the same again, I am certain of this. I see very few ways that the protests can go. The most likely options are repeats of either Tiananmen, or Red Square. I only hope that it is the more peaceful of the two.

Most of Iran seems to be stirred up over this election. I wonder if the Ayatollah will be able to retain power after his brutal crackdown, and if not, who will run the country next?
