I think the most depressing thing about this.......and there are quite a few, is that Morrissey still hates Mike Joyce with such venom and yet he would give so much as the time of day to this twat, let alone be one of his showbiz pals.
Morrisey is a god, Brand is pretty fucking annoying, although he is quick. I find his voice intolerable in this situation though.

Morrisseys the man, I think he gave Russell a bit more attention compared to other interviews knowing how much Russell idolises him - great interview :)
This is probably the best sit-down with Morrissey I've ever heard. I think he feels comfortable with Brand in a way he'd shun with another interviewer. There were tones in the voice I had never heard before. Moz has no choice but to become bigger than he ever was! VivalaMoz!
could it also be that his "northern " accent is a bit faded is perhaps due to him not living there in quite a while and at least I noticed when you move to another place where the accents are radically different, i.e England to the US your accent does change, Ive lived in the UK for 8 years and I grew up in Canada, and my accent has changed a bit since I moved here
Mozzer's voice is great but I find it hard to class as a Northern accent. I am aware he is a Manchester boy but his heavy Irish family connections allow his voice to mellow somewhat thus removing the Northern edge.
This is so funny! Morrissey is precious, and you can tell he's having his own version of a ball with such a silly wingnut like Russell Brand, Good stuff! Was there more?
BTW: The man's speaking voice is amazing--like mint chocolate. He could be a DJ all by himself. Ah, Mozz is the sexiest middle aged man in the world!
Cheers, lylagrace. Glad to know I am not the only wierdo out there who notices the important little things like that, wink! He could come along and read passages from the bible on radio and it would sound great!
Just how many converts would the pope have him to thank for, I wonder...?

I doubt very, very much that Moz is a fan of Alan Carr. If course, I could very well be wrong, I'm sure its hard enough for his best mates to know much about him, never mind someone as far in the distant as myself.
Ha! Just as I'm typing this he actually says that he finds Alan Carr very funny.
So, Moz has shit comedy talent, who'd've'thought it!?
Well, it is an instrumental, he still helped write the music.
I think he mentioned it, simply because, compared to the bast majority of Moz's back catalogue, it is just pretty boring, isn't it? It is definitely a flick on to the next song'a'track... Which, if I remember correctly is "Golden Lights", so better flick on once more!
I always though Morrissey had gone on record as saying he had no 'musical' (as in instruments, etc etc) talent at all, and had no interest in learning as it would take away the magic of listening to songs.
As for Alan Carr, in later Russell Brand shows he guest presents with Carr and repeats that Morrissey loves him and his comedy. Carr also tells that he was invited by Morrissey to dinner but couldn't attend.
Yeah, you're right mate but I'm pretty sure Moz has a hand in the compsition of the songs. I'm taking this from an old interview with (I think) Boz. He talks about Moz's input into the records and said he is the most musical none musician he has ever known. On top of that, I'm pretty sure the credits on Oscillate are "Marr/Morrissey".
Thinking about it, I'm pretty sure he does play a little piano, surely at a very basic level, like "chop sticks" level.
