Fun, but ultimately pointless. People pretend to understand or agree with his philosophy so they can feel smart about it. It's really just nonsense that is negative or subversive enough in character to be likeable. While I admit I find his subversive character likeable, his ideas aren't supported well enough for me to agree with.
I noticed more and more, from many aspects of my experiences from learning newest trends on internet. Key words: community, collabration, climate change, 2012doomsday, new age movement, new world order, reptalian conspiracy, iraq, obama... I try to figure out for myself why the world's so fundamentally wrong more and more. It seems the answer is getting more and more clear now. All things are pointing to one direction. History will change itself soon.

People just like him because they can't come with any arguments against his bullshit. He carefully makes sure that you can't prove him wrong by carefully formulating what he says. A typical leader personality capable of making people blindly believe in all the nonsense that comes out of his mouth..
"He carefully makes sure that you can't prove him wrong by carefully formulating what he says." Isn't that the purpose of argument? You basically just supported him even though you were trying to critique him.

I agree with you. He, and the likes of him outrages me. He seems to be a perfect charlatan. Very dishonest. Aplomb, no humility. And we all need humility. Omg he upsets me.
All the college pseudo-intellectuals cling to Zizek as their intellectual "god", pathetic. Wow he goes to universities and denounces global capitalism and talks about perversion. He's just another Eastern European from the Hegelian/Lacanian school of thought who got famous because he wrote books that were ridiculous that they got attention. Dumb atheists fall into the trap that present day Hitchens, Zizek and Dawkins like mind people lay down.
He doesn't deny being a Lacanian... In fact quite the opposite... As far as the use of ridiculous, I'm not sure. It is indeed, comedic. Then again, who cares?
why is it that all these poor resentful bastards use this word "pseudo-intellectual". There is no argument, just name calling... well guess what, your name is "VegetarianAtheist", youre just seething with "pseudo".

At first I didn't understand him. Then I listened to him over and over. I still don't understand him but I think I am now addicted to him.
