@DipsetSkullGang10 Real hip hop artists are artists who have a message to pass out, who have actual talent. Lil' Wayne? I think anyone can line up a few words that rhyme and distort their voices. And what does selling good have anything to do with respect? If he sold good it's because he had the sufficient help from business dudes. And if no one on wants to embrace the new generation, it's because there's no originality, not much talent. For the artists, go check out Binary Star, or Cyne.
@TheREClan83 i listen to cyne..actually my favorite from them is "running water"...and i'll check out binary star!!...j.cole & charles hamilton is also nice!!
@DipsetSkullGang10 u're hilarious, bravo. If you are troll i salute u, if not, lolzercops. I don't think people started rapping with money in mind. I rap so shitty to beats my friends make battling over them for fun and shit. When shit becomes about making money then thats what u're listening to, something about money. That shit is boring really, and if thats your only goal in life, thats pathetic.
Man, this guy is so cool. This is the first time I've heard of him but I'm lovin' it. This is the true father of hip-hop, about bringing post civil rights 60s and 70s and rising up the whole community ...and rappers today are really talented but NONE of them are as cool and nice as this dude and it makes me wonder if any of them even know this story or how they got to be where they are. Props, Kool Herc. You da man!
73'.... back when it was about dancing, house parties and a bit of fun.. not about guns, beefs and bitches :), full respect to Herc! he dont get enough of it!
I'm sick of you clowns , you think you can improve Hip Hop by cursing out the current generation , why don't you open a studio ? why don't you start a label ,? why don't you buy the records of all these artists you proclaim as real ? or are you just going to rant on Youtube lay the blame with Lil Wayne and soulja boy and claim your reppin the cause .... That's not Hip Hop , like dude said on Wildstyle you got to go out there and rack up
You have to know your history to pay respect to it. Mainstream rappers these days have no understanding of hip-hop's origins, and it's not really their fault if they're not from the NYC area. Rap is pop now. Rap and pop songs sound exactly alike, tune your radio into any Top 40 station and you will hear rappers on pop tracks and pop singers on rap tracks. Be happy that we are part of the select few who understand hip-hop, we should cherish that fact and never let the art die out.

@TheREClan83 how am i ignorant??...i dont really think people would be rapping if they wasn't gonna get paid for it...and what's your definition of an "real hip hop artist"??....i mean selling 1 million first week is not enough to get respect??....what else does he have to do??..he has grammys...i just think people dont want to embrace the new generation of hip hop!!!...and wat artists are u talking about???...i listen to alot of unground also...like curren$y, XV, nujabes, vado, bizzle ect etc
DipsetSkullGang10 1 year ago
@DipsetSkullGang10 Real hip hop artists are artists who have a message to pass out, who have actual talent. Lil' Wayne? I think anyone can line up a few words that rhyme and distort their voices. And what does selling good have anything to do with respect? If he sold good it's because he had the sufficient help from business dudes. And if no one on wants to embrace the new generation, it's because there's no originality, not much talent. For the artists, go check out Binary Star, or Cyne.

You da man!

That's not Hip Hop , like dude said on Wildstyle you got to go out there and rack up

people need to know their roots and give Herc their respects. It's sad a lot of these rappers from today don't pay respects to their history
crazykings50 1 year ago
@crazykings50
