  • Hi, firstly, I wanna ask you one question. is it the ayat that shown about the 'chosen' of Adam a.s is really from the quran? you stated that the ayat is from (3:42) which is surah al-imran ayat 42. but as I refer to the quran, that is not the real ayat 42 in surah al imran.

  • about time someone made this presentation

brother don't forget when Allah told us The example of Jesus, as far as GOD is concerned, is the same as that of Adam; He created him from dust, then said to him, "Be," and he was. Qur'an [3:59]

adam was the first self-awareness or self-consciousness carbon based lifeforms on plant earth.

    salam.

  • @falcon02012

Brother my question is did adam married in paradise or properly married on earth

    according quran plz..........thanks

  • "Nafs" does not mean specifically a human, it comes from the word "tanafas" or breath.

  • thats what I said that god created all of us and choose Adam among us to be the first humen.

there a hadith when Allah shows Adam PBUH all the prophets and he stops at prophet Yusuf and Adam Asked allah about him cause of his unique look, and ask Allah SWT to take some of his life and put it in yusuf's.

  • first of all the verse say we have created you'' in plural'' not them as you show, and the verse meant that god have created all of us and chosen Adam over us..

    thank you for your effort

  • Thank you for your subscription. As far as you comment:

    1) "them" was a typo on my part and I apologize, it is "you" as in the translation in 7:11 on the video.

    2) You have to consider your logic here. How can God chose Adam over us if we did not exist yet(i.e.human beings). The word is used in conjunction with Noah and the family of Abraham and the family of Imran. He chose them over others the same way he chose Adam over others. These others were there already.

  • I think it is illogical to say that God had not yet created all of us but he chose Adam over us.

The logic dictates that he created us(humans) and then chose Adam not the other way around.

    Thanks

  • Thank you so much I am learning a lot , God bless you

  • Awesome keep it going on and on

  • you're absolutely right

  • don't listen to the whiners, I really loved your video keep up the good work

  • its nice to see some decent honest info

  • Talking about things without knowledge - a science called philosophy. Many got astray with this way of thinking. The devil whispers to humans to talk about God Almighty without knowledge. The result can be that people start to see things and make interpretations only to make it fit with their idea.

  • Thanks for your comment. Can you tell me where I should look then if not in the Quran itself.

  • Why are you looking for such kind of stuff. If there comes clear knowledge of it and evidence - ok, why not. But you should not waste your time with this , instead read the Qur'an for relevant stuff at first.

  • Thanks for your comment.

Everything in the Quran is relevant for me. Every word is there for a purpose.

  • But there is nothing about your topic in the Qur'an. When Allah says that mankind is created from Adam and Hava - these are clear words, easy to understand for anybody and there is no need for philosophy about this nor is it necessary for you to know to earn paradise.

  • assalaamualeykum ous114,

a thought provoking video. it broadens the intellect through ijtihad. as you know for centuries there were 135 schools of intepretation of the Quran. The Quran also encourages critical thinking. Now there are only 5, i think. Good Video.

In yr video, could it be that the choices maybe is between choosing Adam, the Angels or Iblis? instead of other humans?

    insha Allah

  • Salam alaykum Manicwild,

Thank you for your insightful comments.

The key in the verse is على العلمين or Above all people. The context and makeup of the verse dictates that على العلمين means above other Human beings like him because it is being used in conjunction with Adam ,Noah, the family of Abraham and the family of Imran.

I dont think we can say that God chose Noah from among the angels and Iblis. Also note that the verse at the end of the video.

  • ولقد خلقنكم ثم صورنكم ثم قلنا للملئكة اسجدوا لءادم فسجدوا الا ابليس لم يكن من السجدين

Notice that this verse is addressing us human beings and not the angels, also notice the sequential events taking place. God created us (humans) then shaped us(humans) then asked the angels to bow down to Adam.

I will posting another video soon to expand on this. Thanks again and keep your comments coming.

  • peace Ous and manic,

just because God speaks in dual of them in the last verse...does not mean that the plural in the previous verse does not apply to just Adam and Eve.

also, Allah may not have chosen Adam as a Prophet until after he had many children.

Adam lived much longer than we do now...he could have had many adult children before God chose him...after a time of repentance.

the Quran CONFIRMS the Previous Scriptures...which show that the first man was Adam.

may God continue to guide us :)

  • Thanks for your comment.

    1) There is no evidence that Adam is a prophet. If he was the Quran would have said so.

    2) I see no reason to believe that when God mentions plural, it may mean dual. It is in plural therefore there are more than 2.

    3) The Quran does not confirm all previous scripture. It confirms some and corrects some others.

    Thanks

  • you are welcome,

whether he choose him as a Prophet, or a Messenger, or whatever...plural is two or more...not three or more...

  • ...in regards to the rest of your reply:

most of the Previous Scriptures are true...all that do not contradict the Quran...or also we must consider some scriptures that have connection with interesting historical similarities that fit in with what the Quran was exposed as changed about Jesus story.

if you like, i invite you to watch Part 46 of my videos called: "What does the Quran Say About The Bible?"

    peace once more

  • Thanks again. you are a very intelligent individual and I think you know that in Arabic, a verb can be singular, dual or plural. There is no verb that implies 2 or more. There is 2 or more than 2.
