Go do some research on wiki where it states that land rovers are proven to scale/decline steeper gradients than even the Military Hummer !Don't you realize that The land rover is a quarter the size of hummer!? Witch means it can fit in much tighter spots and scale much higher gradients! The over hang/wheelbase on a hummer is to long witch is why the cant scale as steep!

Hummers works very well on .... desert. It is designed to be driven on tank trail, behind a tank. That is reason for the width and ground clearance. It is good basic vehicle. It works well on desert, but in other more combact situitations it is quite big which is in many places problem.

Mercedes G serie's military versions, are those which I prefer as good. They have real manual locking diffs, and good basic structure.
