  • My mother grew up a Catholic in Co. Antrim, she and her family lived in fear. This is how I imagine she felt when she left for England in the eighties.

  • jees, my family is from derry bogside..

  • Only song that brings a tear to the eye

  • no crap,, but music can reach you like rocket,,thank you

  • so true

  • Powerful stuff put across effectively! Mark,The Barrel o'Baddies

  • Great cover.

btw -- Terry Woods was part of Steeleye Span (Brit folk rock group), not The Pogues. He did Streets of Sorrow, The Pogues did Birmingham Six.

  • What I don't understand is how you know that T Woods was a member of Steeleye Span, but you aren't aware that he has been with The Pogues since ~'86 or '87. I call BS on you my friend. Do the research before you post.

This has always been my favorite Pogues song, and still gives me the chills when I hear it. Liked Isis before, but no wtruly respect the band and will probably buy more albus aside from the Pig Destroyer split which I already own.

    w3rd.

  • @redandblack78 this isn't Isis that did split with Pig Destroyer...

  • you could have at least done the rest of the song!

  • Thou Shane MacGowan wrote most of the Classic Pogues songs he wasn`t the only great singer or songwriter in the band... both Jem Finer, Spider Stacy and more of the band members wrote some great songs... "Streets of sorrow" is one of them

  • where the hells the rest of the song?

  • streets of sorrow/birmingham 6 was actually a medley. that's why birmingham 6 isn't on this. they only covered streets of sorrow.

  • I never knew this existed

    wooooooww

    fan of both so much

  • Well Done - I like it !

  • Are the photos at the end of Bloody Sunday dead or just general victims of the Troubles, or other people?
