Have a legit port and they'll accept you. No one wants to see self portraits in the mirror on your camera phone or disposable camera pics from a decade ago. Good for mayhem for being strict and weeding out the pretenders.

I have a great camera, I never use flash, I think its unnatural and always ugly, and I have two beautiful lenses that I skripmed and saved to have. I don't use photo shop. If I don't get the photo the way I want it with just me the camera and the model, its not worth having.
@theshyfox sometimes different photographer, different taste...some are using lots of light effect including flash and photoshop (post processing)
the thing is even...even you dont like to use both, you need to understand it really well and you need to be able to use it....why?? because you are a photographer, what happen if the weather turn bad or you cant find golden hour....what happen if your client ask some changes in their picture...
@MilitiaPhotography dont give up if the mm didnt accept you, find friends, family, or anybody...practice and practice hard!! learn the things that you dont like, explore your weaknesses and your strong point....learn from others and dont be one dimensional photographer.

This is the first time I've heard of someone getting the runaround like this, I guess we got on before they started having major problems and revised the new account process :( Best of luck, I wish I had some useful advice. I'm tempted to try making a second account now with the same pics from the first to see if I would still qualify...I'll let you know...
modelmayhem is a great website but i've had a photography account before and i've had at least 2 pictures of myself that were self potraits and they didnt turn it down. but if ur account doesnt get shut down let me know your ID number for the account.

I feel for you! Cheer up yO~! I wish I could help but I don't see how. My advice is start with events weddings. Make sure you have the equipment necessary to pull off a wedding and check with photographers that do weddings for feedback. Once your pro at weddings then you push up the ladder easy you have great portfolio at that point.
I'm almost afriad to do wedding photography... If I were to mess up then the moemories of the happiest day of their life would be... well not ruiend... but a destraught bride would see it that way.
Try and intern for a wedding photographer work for free for a wedding to see what he or she does and gain insight. Also for yourself as a safety precaution When taking photos have a digital camera handy on tripod and take both kinds of photos so you have a for sure back up with digital, just in case of a worse case scenario on the film..

They've got some BEAUTIFUL women on that website and they've got all types.
There were some girls listed at like 5'1" 210lbs and up. You're cute so just try again trust me, you can get on.

At the moment they don't have it broken down into reason why you are rejected like they use to.
I personally never heard of the 7 day deadline, nope, never and I can be part of the acceptance and denial process.
After your 3rd try you can CAM and talk to a moderator and ask why your profile is not be accepted.
