  • this reminds me of Fat piggs

  • whos the woman that wont shut up

  • I love how this bitch is trying to make the guy on the left sound ridiculous when what he is saying was completely valid. It's so obvious they way they tried to dance around having Sara make too many appearances, because even they knew how much of a mistake it was going to be once she did.

  • i hate republican women. they're so screechy and bitchy and make no sense at all

  • Yup, [MAN] Coulter, nonsensical Michele's Bachmann,

and Malkin - doing their best to destroy honest debate - and the country along the way.

Really taking advantage of what honest woman have opened up for them.

  • Mika looks totally crocked during this segment.

  • Sarah 2012!

  • Palin/Steele 2012

  • lol...wait that would be perfect actually. I hope it happens.

  • yeah... just in time for the end of the world... lmao XD

  • I think the only suitable punishment for Wallace--for being such a dissembling cunt, and, well, for being Sarah Wallace--is being raped to death by trained animals.

    Tough but fair.

  • Palin in 2012!

  • are u fucken serious lmao. Palin in 2012 more like PALIN FUCK NO!!!NOT EVER lmao...

  • no no.....let em do it. If the GOP acutally goes ahead with that team, there done for sure. They might as well start calling themselves the wig party again.

  • badlans, you are a fucking idiot.

  • We are cheap and hard working

  • This worthless grabastic pile of amphibian shit is an abomination to all human beings and animals. I say, kill the bitch!

  • im tired of the lies from the mystical(not all obviously) jews and dont start trippin calling me an anti semite because arabs are semites too. but nobody has been able to explain to me how fed res works , WHY THEY CALL IT DISTRICT OF COLOMBIA, the economic crisis, or why the US has such close ties to israel. Ron Paul and Texe Marrs and Alex Jones know... your busy worrying if youd rather kiss obama or palin... why havent you read the constitution and where is the militia against federal tyranny

  • the GOP is the worst thing for this country!!!!!

Republicans are important for maintaining positive values of this country, but this so called GOP (Gallant Old Party) is all about corruption and power. They use propaganda to hold onto old values of bigotry and an elitist persona. For the GOP to view Palin as anything more than a stunt to win votes is a testament to how corrupt and disillusioned their party really is. Normal republicans understand she is worthless and is around for votes only.

  • Communication skills like John Kennedy...LOL

Where in the hell did that come from. She is about as far from Jack Kennedy in communication skills as a god damn French Poodle being a Race Horse.

If Sarah Palin was a character in the Wizard of Oz it would be the Scare Crow. He was looking for a brain.

If the Republicans win this the American people who voted for them deserve all the failures, pain and hardships they can endure, but I will be damned if I will contribute to it.

  • Because of how void of knowledge and opinion Palin demonstrated herself to be before the debate, and because of how it would look to people if Biden were to shine a light on her inadequacy, he chose to direct all his offense on to McCain. Palin was uninhibited to throw as many punches as she could, perhaps making it look to the average viewer that she mopped the floor with him. The polls, I believe, reflect the fact that people are smarter than McCain thinks. People really are paying attention.

  • Her communication skills were neck and neck with those of Ronald Reagan or John F. Kennedy. Joe Biden was overwhelmed and looked like he was on sedatives. It was insulting to see skewed poles that Biden won at 60-70 percent. Polls are so skewed nowadays and they need to be neutral. I was on the fence about Palin, but I now I am 100 percent confident on her communication abilities

  • How in the world could you possibly say that Palin is more qualified then Obama she was Governor of Alaska for 20 months which she drove straight into debt and is now under investigation for honestly people think of what you are going to do to this country if you vote for mccsame and poster girl palin your just allowing the bush administration to still have a hand in what has happened over the last 7 years and will continue to happen for the next four if there isnt a change get real..

  • You know, i am not even an American, but i just can't believe people are so blind folded and unable to think critically. You have two choices,it is either more disaster or possible change. If you can't make this distinction, what good are you 4 ur country?

  • You are correct. The problem is that most Americans are morons.

  • I am not a liberal. I don't think Obama is qualified either, he does not have enough experience. Why do you say Obama is incoherent? He speaks very well and is articulate - you cannot admit that much? The reason I said Palin is incoherent is b/c of her responses to some questions simply do not make sense, meaning you cannot understand what she is trying to say. I was not sure who I was going to vote for until McCain picked Palin, she is even more unqualified than Obama and could very well be prez

  • Just because someone does not agree with you, does not mean that they are anti-American, stupid, crazy or gay. Reasonable people can disagree on things.

  • look at how divided people are - you pick which side you are on and then blindly support your side, no matter what the facts are. This is what is destroying our country. Thanks God some Republicans can stop blindly supporting their party and admit that Palin is incompetent and incoherent. We need more people to stop blindly supporting their party and talk about how to fix our country.

  • Another thing, I do not converse with people who hate. I am not saying I hate anyone. We are all entitled to our own beliefs, as you are, as well. I am still young (21) and I do not want to pay for my country's shortcomings in the future, which is all I am saying. We should all be worried about what the country will end up becoming. So, please don't write back because I am done fighting a battle that is already lost.

  • Okay. Look, you have gone too far. I am not anti-American. BOTH of my parents served for the U.S. military and because of republicans, they stand to lose everything they worked so hard for. My father served over 20 years and was in the Vietnam war. Don't fucking tell me that I am anti-American. I do not wish to destroy American values. This country doesn't need help from me, it has already been done. And racists don't fucking help either. Go fuck your Mom you inbred, redneck, fuckface.

  • Just because I am not a Republican (I'm not a Democrat either) and I don't share the same views as you, you hate me. That's perfect seeing as Republicans are hateful enough. That's what more of this country needs. And you solidify the worthlessness of Republicans in my eyes because all they know how to do is attack Obama. And by the way, I was think I had too much class for this, but I guess I don't: FUCK YOU.

  • Well, actually, if Republicans weren't money-grubbing assholes, then we wouldn't need to bail out Wall Street's worthless ass. Remember that if McCain gets presidency and we all don't have a pot to piss in. Surely more ruling from the Republican party will drive this country into economic turmoil. If McCain gets presidency, I'm skipping out of this hell hole and leaving my citizenship here. It would be worthless to be an American when you aren't able to live that "dream" because of greed.

  • When America has women with views like the ones expressed by the woman in this video then I can safely say your fucked.

  • You are God damn right.

  • OMG THAT WOMAN IS SOOOOO ANNOYING!

  • Unbiased - learn the definition people - especially you republicans

  • Switch to decaf hun.

  • We are in a financial meltdown (scheme). Banks are losing 3 trillion dollars due to bad mortgage notes (I.O.U). That represent about 1/3 of all mortgage notes which is collectable because the American owners just walked away from their homes.

For the future of Americans, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are required to be around in order to lend money for purchasing and refinancing. The real losers are bank and Foregin Banks. The real winners are American customers.

  • The real problem isn't implementing a decision that can make or break our country. They should throw that idea right out the door right now. A stimulus check? Yeah, right, $600.00 isn't going to help anyone.

Now this may not be realistic thinking, but what I think they should do is increase the amount of money people make at their (lol) jobs. Businesses would hurt at first but then recover because of the STIMULATED economy. Bills will get paid, stress will be relieved.

  • Oh and please don't be like McCain, and tell us to go "visit your website" and see the "truth," because your website (just like any other politicians' websites), are BIAS, and in McCain's case, on the border/crossing over to being libelous.

  • your simile doesn't make any sense, at least throw out some VALID and UNTWISTED facts to back your support. Oh wait, I guess that might be hard, cuz McCain's the boss of twisting truth, not admitting his misspeech, or for being a douche attacking people for being an "elitist" when he can't even remember how many houses he's got.

  • Who cares?

What a complete freakin' idiot that lady is.

Who cares? We supposed to just take your word for it lady? You're part of this joke, that's not ultimately funny at all.

Now we can't ask candidates question?

    They can't answer qestions?

Only because Palin, once attempting unscripted remarks, would be (and is now being) exposed as a an airhead, a beauty pagent contestant.

America will soon send her and that wacky disfuntional family back to mooseland!

    Good riddance!

  • some well-informed conservative and liberal journalists warned us about bush in ´04 BUT we didn´t listen and ended up voting for bush. are we going to make the same mistake again? are we going to put the future of our country in the hands of a 72-year-old man with skin cancer and a woman without any notable foreign policy credential? we´d better thinkg about it, ´cause china, india, brazil and even russia are raising !!! COUNRY FIRST !

  • VOTE OBAMA 08

  • A fucking stupid one at that

  • She talked to the American people or at them?

You can't really have a good conversation standing on a stage surrounded by thousands of GOP yesBots and enough security to declare war on the state. I'll open the floor to questions now "Yes you with the grey ducktape on your mouth and the tightwraps on your hands and feet"

  • Stupid TheRepublicVenu Shut you dumb retarded ass, People Like you need to seek immediate help with Old Fart Mccain whose just running his puppet mouth & not making Any sense what so ever...

Mccains Youtube just became a Nightmare.

    Obama 08 President!!!

  • OBAMA '08 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Mcsame is an old stupid idiot.

  • Joe McCain raped and killed a girl in 1993

  • Vote Obama!!!! this country's economy can't stand another four years of bush policies!!!!!!!!

    Obama 08!!!!!!

  • Obama '08 !!!!!!!!

  • In case you haven't heard already, sweetheart, Matt Scully, George W. Bush's speechwriter wrote Palin's speech from for the RNC. To assist her in remembering the speech that was written before she was even selected, she had a teleprompter that worked faithfully throughout the duration of her speech.

I can't wait to see this inexperienced, corrupt woman who abuses her power in a debate with Biden where she will not have a written speech nor will she have a teleprompter!!

  • what the fuck is wrong with that bitch? Is she fucking drunk?

  • OBAMA '08 !!!!!

  • on a recent BBC survey asking 23.531 people from 22 country's in Afrika, Asia, Europe, Oceania and South-Amerika, Obama or McCain for president?

    49% said Obama

    12% said McCain

    39% had no opinion

OPEN YOUR EYE's McCain voters, because the world is LAUGHING AT YOU!ahAHAHAHA

    from Norway/Kosovo.

  • Did you laugh with way Clinton handled Kosovo? Not so funny anymore is it?

  • Don't Worry. We have a street named after Bill Clinton! He handled Kosovo VERY well, and WE know this more than any of you Rep.

Now KOSOVO is Independent thanks to first and formost Bill Clinton because he saved us from serbian massacres, genocide and the taking of our land!

PS:aHAHA i'm just laughing at people like u=)

  • You are really informed! You should write a history book.

  • How Pathetic.

I guess Palin doesn't have to answer any questions because the "Media" is picking on her when they ask questions.

Excuse me while I go vomit.

If we elect the old fool with alzheimer's, and this Jesus Freak Hockey Mom to the White house, well...

    We're Fucked.

  • Scarborough knows what's going on. Palin doesn't want to answer questions about her background. Palin is a nut job. And the American people are finding out now too. The trailer for the WMC is all over TV now. I hope there's gonna be campaign ads with this video too. Check SarahPalinExposed for even more info on Palin. She's a complete phony. I can't stand her lies. How can you tell Sarah Palin is lying? Her lips are moving.

  • From the WSJ:

"George H.W. Bush foresaw Senator Quayle as a similar reach across generations. But at the first sign of criticism, Mr. Bush's advisers gave Mr. Quayle a paint-by-numbers speech and all but stuffed him into a trunk for the duration of the campaign. His reputation never recovered."

Please replace "Bush" with "McCain" and "Quale" with "Palin" in the above sentence, and you now know the pre-ordained fate of Palin before her first press encounter. :)

  • So this lady personaly insulted him why?

  • Can that woman STFU!!!!!

  • Who cares if she answers questions from the media? I care! And Time Magazine is part of the media. Okay, we've heard her biography. Enough already. Let's hear her stand up to the scrutiny of the tough questions that she needs to answer, just like the big guys. If she wants to play in the major leagues, she has to perform like a major leaguer. That means answering the questions for herself, not sending out her media gurus.

  • You seem to have made an assumption. You assume that I am a republican. You also seem to assume that the republicans of today resemble those of past years, as in the years of Barry Goldwater. The last time I registered as a republican was during the early 60s. You are correct about today's republicans, they are not the least bit "small government" oriented. There are still plenty of us out here who ARe small government oriented however. Independents now. Conservative to the max. Self sufficient.

  • Someone smack that loud mouth bitch. She (Palin)DOES need to answer[a lot]of questions, and any fucktard that thinks she can spit out pre-scripted talking points for 2 months duck the media, and sneak into the White house, while blaming the MEDIA for attacking her, because she lies, well that person (like the mouthy bitch in this video, should be sited for treason, and executed...This election is about the inevitable end of the USA,NOT some mouth piece with a mission to distract us until NOV!!!

  • Dude, I worship you!!!

  • If she takes $300 million as a govoner imagine as vice president

  • Can anyone tell me what education and experience she has? PTA and living next to Russia does not count. The media did to her what they did to people for years. She will ahve top talk about law ande politics and she has nothing in education or experience. But if shwe does have experience where is it.

  • depends upon what you yourself think about experience. Experience in raising a family.

Experience in having babies. Experience in being a mayor of a small town in Alaska. Experience in being Governor of the state of Alaska.

If none of those things count as experience to you, then I would recommend you not vote for her. Find someone who suits your own ideas better. Vote for them.

  • Nobody cares about her family, or her small town, etc. Her biography is only peripheral. This election is a referendum on 8 years of GOP leadership, the current state of the country, and what's going to be done, specifically to address the economic and foreign threats to the American people. I am not at all charmed by her hockey mom persona and her unwillingness to speak without a teleprompter and dodge press conferences. It's obvious she is not prepared and they are trying to control her image.

  • We differ. Everyone cares about her family, and her small town. Biography at this point is everything. This election is a referendum on the future, nothing to do with the past. Economic and foreign threats to this country are a fact of life and will be dealt with satisfactorily, as always, but not by the President or the Vice President of the United States.

I find her charming and have no evidence to suggest she is unwilling to speak without a teleprompter, or dodges press conferences.

  • Biography is EVERYTHING? Plz tell me you're kidding??? You really think these cute little bio stories that they hire producers to make are a deciding factor? What about the fact that she's already lying through her teeth about the bridge to nowhere? What about the fact that she left Wasilla $22 million in debt? You care more about her biography than what she's done?? If you say there's no evidence that she dodges conferences, then you're so ignorant of the facts that I'm clearly wasting my time.

  • If you look closely at what I said, using your critical analysis method, you will discover that I said "at this stage of the game" biography is everything. There is plenty of time for press conferences and appearances on the pundits shows.

I may have a different perspective than you. Buying something is always an emotional decision. You can evaluate all the features and benefits and relationships of an offering until you are blue in the face, but the final decision is emotional.

  • Yes, I know that it's an emotional decision for so many, and that's the problem. That is the very reason we have an electoral college, because some of the founders didn't believe in the capacity of the unwashed masses to make rational decisions. Polls show that by a large margin, the number 1 issue for voters in the economy. McCain openly admitted on camera that he doesn't know much about the economics, and this guy is ahead in the polls because people like his "story". Is the nation that dumb??

  • Nothing happens until someone sells something.

It was honest of McCain to admit he doesn't know much about economics. It was honest of him to admit he isn't computer literate either.

No one man is going to know it all. It is necessary that we employ experts in the various fields of endeavor to advise the POTUS.

Obama's degree isn't economics either. I have son with a degree in economics. He doesn't seem to know it all either.

I am not FOR McCain. I am AGAINST Obama.

  • You should study up a little on why there is an electoral college.

  • Even though I think you are speaking through your ass, I will agree that her image and her itinerary are managed by the handlers that manage such things. Same for Obama, McCain and Biden.

The main differences I see between liberals and conservatives has to do with the role of Government. Conservatives want less,, liberals more.

None of these candidates is qualified to be POTUS, /but this is the choice we have. I will work not to elect McCain/Palin, but to defeat Obama/Biden.

  • Of course they all have campaign managers and strategists, but none of them other than Palin has refused press conferences. If you don't know this, you are extremely uninformed. I'm not trying to insult you, I'm just telling the fact. As for conservatives wanting less government, that's a laugh. Is the government smaller after either Bush or Reagan? Please. Stop with the GOP folklore. Next you're going to be telling me republicans are fiscally conservative, lol.

  • Frankly, I, too, feel like I want to projectile vomit!

  • WHO IS that obNOXious woman in this video? These people are the clear and obvious ELITES.THEIR candidate is TOO GOOD to mix it up with even the cotton-ball questions the corporate media will give her, while our candidate has endured months of outright smears.

This idiot screeches that she's "never seen anything like this in my life!" Well, if you are too young to remember what your party did to Bill Clinton, then you are too young to be :advising" a campaign! What a disingenuous twat....!

  • Maybe it is not a lie, maybe Palin really is a fiscal conservative and it is a bunch of idiots that think that means spending less tax money on useless projects? Supports the bridge with millions that get spent elsewhere, the sport center that leaves a town of 5000 20 million in debt, cuts spending on young mothers and special needs children programs. Maybe this is good fiscal policy? Oh, and selling that jet on ebay? Well, the jet did get sold. Great gimmick. I bet McCain wants to keep Jet1!

  • Typical racist.

  • And, another thing...PERSONALLY, I'd like someone in office who is smarter than I am (and I went to Cornell)! Palin graduated with only a BS after attending five schools in six years. And, McCain graduated at the very bottom of his class at Annapolis (894 out of 899). Ouch! I mean, why are we letting STUPID people run our government? The McCain/Palin "bounce" is making me sick to my stomach. I hope Obama tears McCain a new one in the debates (which I think he will)...

  • I agree with this statement. I'm currently working on a BS, and it frightens me that so many people support two individuals that half-assed their way through school. You should have at LEAST a masters to even step foot into these kinds of powerful positions.

  • I did some additional research on Sailcats' comments about Palin's "executive experience" in working with the Alaskan National Guard:

"Governors don't have any command role in overseas deployments, or in the national security and foreign policy decisions surrounding them. That's the prerogative of the president."

They are overblowing her credentials so hard, that it hurts to hear about it.

  • is that b!tch crazy. the media never talks about political families? Didn't the drunk bush twins make national news. They were just drunk, not even knocked up.

stop hiding palin! it's pathetic for a politician.

as your fellow vagina-american once said

"if you can't stand the heat..."

  • Cunt-a-licious.

  • As for the video...

I wonder if Sara Palin is being coached on how to NOT BE HER SELF. It seems dubious that she won't take questions from the media.

It's an odd trend developing where public officials won't speak to the media.

  • Mr. Sailcats, all do respect, but you're way off base on the corporate tax issue. I'm an accounting major and a finance major. Corporations pay taxes. They pay a tax on employment and they pay a tax on earnings/net income. These taxes are levied by the United States Government on the federal level. Additionaly some corporations pay taxes on the state level.

Of course, you might be one of those people who believe you dont' have to pay income tax, which might explain how wrong you are.

  • Sailcats, once you understand the basic concept of Corporations paying tax on payroll, I will educate you on the second form of tax a corporation pays. Those are called Corporate Taxes and they are based on INCOME. You need to look up the word CHARLATAN and see if that applies to you.

I'm not surprised you support McCain. It makes sense to me now.

  • lol if I'm a charlatan, then tell me where I'm wrong.

So far all I've seen from you is belittlement instead of discussion, insult instead of enlightenment.

I too am a business man and I too NEVER understood this fundamental fact until late in my career. It's truly an eye opening revelation. But it can not be refuted with accounting shell games. The concept follows directly from the revenue equation which is basic in business.

I challenge you to point out where I'm wrong.

  • rico, I'm awaiting your education sir. I challenge you to tell me where I'm wrong. Believe me, this is an important concept, it can't be overstated. Business owners and workers alike should all be on board for knowing this fact.

Businesses and corporations don't pay taxes. They collect them from people.

As a business owner you should check out Fairtax. If passed, it would alleviate you of all your payroll/SS tax match responsibilities.

  • Sailcats, I invite you to educate yourself by reading independent economists, such as Paul Krugman of Princeton or Stephen Leavitt of the University of Chicago.

While short term tax relief for you on an individual basis is important, there is a much greater economic issue here. The war in Iraq costs 140 million an hour. Every hour. Each day. It's fiscally unsustainable and burying American in debt. Educate yourself no matter who you vote for. Read a book.

  • on the contrary rico I invite you to educate yourself. My previous post was just as much an eye opener to me the first time I read it, as I hope it will be to you. Corp taxes are a well perpetuated myth that WE pay. The beauty from govt's point of view is...

WE CHEER THE POLITICIANS ON who will raise corp taxes, all the while WE have to pay them.

On war costs, consider Iraq war costs $10B/month. Socialized spending costs us like $150B/month. No comparison, socialism is much more expensive.

  • Rico the fact that corp's don't pay taxes is SO important. Without this knowledge in your back pocket, you will be forever lulled into favoring your own taxation, and not even realize it.

Think about it. If your wages are cut, or you're laid off, b/c the govt levied more corp taxes on your company, you will have paid those corp taxes. Losing wages, jobs or earnings on retirement are just as effective tax pmt methods as having them withheld from your check. We just don't get the itemized stub.

  • "Corporations do not pay taxes. Only people pay taxes." - Sailcat

Your statement above shows how grossly misinformed you are or perhaps just ignorant.

Corporations pay taxes twice. Once to match the federal funds from payroll taxes + SS match + Medicare match. They also pay tax on net income.

The reality is, America has run up such a substantial debt 900 trillion plus, that cutting taxes are not a good idea. Though not popular, the correct move is to raise taxes. Economists agree.

  • "Corporations pay taxes twice. "

My friend, no they don't. Again THEY DO NOT PAY TAXES.

corporations COLLECT taxes. There is only ONE entity on earth that PAYS taxes and that is you and me. People. Now you're getting pulled down into the accounting details that serve very well to hide this fundamental fact.

ONLY PEOPLE PAY TAXES. think about it.

...ok more to come on this...

  • I own a corporation. You are 100% wrong. It makes me not even want to try to educate you on this point because you are so completely wrong.

    1) In America, each employee pays Federal Tax(FICA) Social Security Tax, and Medicare tax. The company takes that tax out of your paycheck, and then MATCHES IT. The match comes from the Corporation. We do not collect it, we do not take it out of your check twice. It comes out of our REVENUE.

The only tax I collect as a corporation is SALES TAX.

  • "I own a corporation." excellent, then we should be able to discuss instead of insult.

right so you're right that employees pay SS & medicare, AND yes the company matches it.

NOW... where does your company get the money to match those taxes? You said it yourself, out of your REVENUE.

Now where did your revenue come from? Your customers, your consumers whoever they are.

See now you just agreed with my #1 point below... You COLLECTED that tax from the PEOPLE buying your product...

  • You can't be this obtuse. You're attempting to redefine general accounting practices to make your point. You collect SALES TAX! You don't collect CORPORATE TAX or PAYROLL MATCHING TAXES.

Payroll Taxes are categorized as current liabilities.

Corporate Taxes are paid AFTER the end of your fiscal year based on your net income.

You don't collect a tax on net income. The simple fact that a company doesn't know it's net income or net loss until the end of the fiscal year prevents that.

  • rico, you call me obtuse, but you don't point out where I'm wrong.

Again, if your corp taxes are raised by the govt tomorrow, WHERE WILL THE MONEY COME FROM?

HOW WILL YOU PAY THEM? You've already answered me, you just refuse to realize the implication. The taxes come from your revenue of course.

And according to the revenue equation, there are ONLY 3 ways to "pay" the tax. I've been through it twice now, just consider the 3 ways.

Your business just takes ppls $ and passes it on.

  • consider it another way before I hit the sack.

If tomorrow, your payroll tax responsibilities were nullified... you no longer have to match employees' SS/medicare taxes. Only they have to pay it but your business doesn't.

Obviously you'd have more $ to work with. What 3 possible choices do you have to do with the extra $? ONLY 3 possible

You can either lower your product prices, raise wages or hire more, or increase shareholder earnings.

you would be PASSING ON a tax reduction to the ppl.

  • rico another way to look at this. Say all of sudden tomorrow you have to pay more corp taxes on the profits you make. OR you have to more than match the SS tax... or whatever. Your corp taxes go up.

Now again, you can ONLY do 3 things, in whatever combination you want, but you MUST do at least 1 of the 3:

    1) raise the price of your products.

    2) cut wages or lay ppl off.

    3) reduce earnings to shareholders.

In ALL 3 cases, no matter which you decide to do, the people will pay the tax hike.

  • ...rico let's say you're a corp. Your cost+margin=revenue. Taxes are levied on you as part of your cost. What are the ONLY 3 things you can do to "pay" them? You only have the above equation to play with. You either raise revenue, cut cost, or cut margin.

    1) you pass the cost to consumers in the price of product.

    2) you cut wages or lay off.

    3) you let the shareholder pay for it by reducing their earnings (all us retirement investors out here with 401k, etc)

These are your ONLY 3 options.

  • Is she drunk?

  • Well I have to admit libs on here bashing Palin for not committing to an interview are right.

I mean how dare she?? She's been the VP pick now for... count'em... 9 days! I mean come on Palin what's the hold up??

Ok so it turns out she did schedule an ABC news interview this coming thurs. That'll be 13 whole days. 13!!!

Unbelievably insensitive and selfish of her, not to mention obviously hiding something, to make us all wait **13** whole days.

Can libs say "wind out of their sails"?

  • "Allow her" how dare you! She is the head of the Alaskan National Guard! Need I remind you that since Palin has become Governor of Alaska, we have not had an attack on American soil?

  • She's a Fake

  • She's the real deal. The only reason we aren't letting her answer questions, is because we have to instruct her on what to say. Then she can answer the questions on her own.

  • fake what? fake governor with 80-90% approval?

    Fake mom of 5?

Ohhh right, she gave a fake speech the other night that put Obama's to shame?

Come on, what's fake? Her life is an open book, she told her life story twice so far that I've seen. Nothing to hide. What you see is what you get.

Obama? Now there's a guy wearing a mask to get elected. Saul Alinsky, Rezko, Ayers, Kwame Kilpatrick, Rev Wright?...

Oh these weren't the Alinsky/Rezko/Ayers/ Kilpatrick/ Wright he knew.

  • This is the funniest comment on here..."She is the head of the Alaskan National Guard!" lol First of all, Alaska is the 47th least populated state. NO ONE wants to attack "American soil" IN ALASKA! Second of all, since the time she began as Governor (less than two years ago), the Alaskan National Guard has come under the command of the Pentagon, not her. She hasn't given ONE COMMAND to the Alaskan National Guard. Please.

  • damosh the governor of each state is the commander in chief except when deployed out of the country. I think you're referring to the John Warner Defense Auth Act of 2007 which gave the president authority to take control of the state national guards without consent of the governors. All 50 governors opposed it, and that part of the act was rescinded in 2008. Now she IS the CIC of the National Guard.

Yes she has issued commands even deploying the NG to other states for assistance.

  • Claiming that her being in charge of the Alaskan NG gives her "executive experience" is so far overblown that it's ridiculous. I wish the GOP would stop trying to make her into more than what she is. Of course, if the GOP did that, it would undermine the MONTHS of claiming Obama isn't experienced enough. And, to be frank, McCain has had four episodes of skin cancer, making us all really have to ask: What makes HIM think SHE is the right person to be VP? If you ask me, he's got the poor judgment.

  • damosh, it sounds a lot like your complaints are 1 sided.

Being in charge of the Alaska NG isn't the only thing backing her experience claim. Exec experience is what she's been getting for the last 12 years... first as mayor of a town, then as governor of a state. Belittle it all you want, but these life experiences ARE exec experience.

Neither Biden, nor Obama have had ANY exec experience whatsoever. None. Zero. So despite the attempted belittlement, it's still 12 yrs vs zero.

  • Neither Biden nor Obama have executive experience? Well, you conveniently forgot to mention that neither does McCain. Executive experience is not a requirement to become president. If McCain was really looking for someone who had extensive executive experience, he had a variety of choices of several viable state governors with more experience who were used to dealing with bigger and more complex states.

  • jipoku, as I've said MANY times on the very string, Biden, Obama, McCain ALL have a lack of executive experience that's inherent in the role of senator. You're echoing what I said.

So we agree I think that we have one ticket with ZERO exec experience, and the other with 12 years of successful exec experience.

Again, what I'm saying is that all the attacks on this string and media that keep harping Palin has TOO LITTLE exec experience is just patently false. She's the ONLY one with it.

  • might be worth confirming what we all mean by "executive" experience. Being a high paid politician doesn't equal exec responsibility.

Exec means responsible for day to day mgmt of a state or business, or authority to make (execute) plans/orders/decisions.

To contrast both Biden/Obama, these guys have been senators (yes McCain too). As senators, they only help make laws in the *representation* of their constituents.

So it's authority vs representation. Huge, important difference.

  • Allies in Europe and on other continents are strongly for the US despite them hating Bush as most Americans do. Obama is popular around the world while McCain is relatively unknown. Having a leader who our allies actully like will help our standing in the world.

  • don't know about you (well actually now I do), but I for one don't give a flying flip about whether the USA wins a world popularity contest. Fact is, doing the RIGHT thing is always hard and rarely popular.

We need to stand by our American principles and not care so much about the rest of the world's approval. Let's keep winning them over by showing how strong our freedom-centric country is, not by appeasement.

  • Having the respect and consensus of allies is important. The US cannot and should not have to get involved in conflicts around the world and not have the aid of other countries. Part of that is having the respect of other countries. Why do American soldiers and American taxpayers have to bear the brunt of paying for war in Afghanistan when other countries should get involved there? It is that cowboy mentality that got America into the Iraq mess.

  • jipoku, we have had, and do have the respect and consensus of our allies. The Iraq war is a great example. Our allies have been right there fighting and dying beside us to fight terrorists. I'm not sure where the concern comes from in thinking the world is against us.

What we *led* was an international force in compliance with a United Nations resolution. I mean international consensus has been the hallmark of our military actions. We simply bear the brunt b/c no one else sacrifices like us.

  • Are you serious? You must not read or know anything about what other countries feel about the war. There have been protests in Asia and Europe for years against the war. I have lived and travelled abroad and the US does not have the respect or the consensus of the world for the war in Iraq. There is little support even among Americans. Many allies have explicitly said that their soldiers were only there for relief and not combat.

  • right now, today, we have the best healthcare system in the world. Fact is, the best of anything is expensive, and people get frustrated at that.

Socializing and handing it over the most inefficient entity ever conceived (government) is not acceptable.

Honestly just name 1 big government program that's been a success. Just 1. Even something like the mail, which seems innocuous loses $billions/year. Mail seems cheap for just that little stamp but we end up paying all those $Billions in taxes

  • Yes I'm serious. What protests... you mean muslim immigrant protests by those who just can't stand the US interfering at all with a mideast country? I can believe that. Again, it's not a majority.

  • There were protests against the invasion of Iraq in Europe and Asia, especially after the intial invasion. Millions of people in Europe protested. Thousands protested in Japan and Australia. Where have you been the last 5 years? I really can't believe that you do not know that. It's a google search away.

  • "protests against the invasion of Iraq"

of course I'm aware of them. Like I've said before, those simply are not a majority, and what I remember seeing were muslim rants about us entering a muslim country.

There were riots over cartoons a while back too... maybe we should appease people more and stop allowing freedom of speech?

  • I've asked a few times.. I'm interested in your thoughts on taxes. The claim that Obama will lower taxes is just false.

He refutes himself in the same sentence when he says he'll lower taxes for you but raise them for corporations. Maybe this is a point that unclerico misunderstands as well.

Corporations do not pay taxes. Only people pay taxes. So please don't let Obama fool you into believing he can lower your INCOME taxes and you'll be better off.

You & I will pay the raised corp taxes

  • Analysis by the Tax Policy Center, a joint project of the Urban Institute and the Brookings Institution, Obama and McCain are both proposing tax plans that would result in cuts for most American families. Obama's plan gives the biggest cuts to those who make the least, while McCain would give the largest cuts to the very wealthy.

So if you make less than 111,656 you would get a substantially bigger tax break by voting Obama, and a substantially smaller break from McCain.

  • "Obama's plan gives the biggest cuts to those who make the least, while McCain would give the largest cuts to the very wealthy."

rico, I've gone through this pretty thoroughly before so won't repeat it all. Again, what you're quoting there is misleading in the extreme. This fact hinges on the idea that what Obama will inflict on rich ppl and companies will have serious consequences on the tax burdens of us all.

    ...

  • There was absolutely no UN support for the war in Iraq. There was no international consensus during the invasion. Other countries criticized teh US. Do you have amnesia or are you just delusional?

  • jipoku my friend read up on the UN support. The UN consensus came in the form of the 2002 UN security council resolution 1441, which gave authority for military action if Saddam didn't cooperate in very specific requirements, which he didn't.

1441 was passed unanimously. It also followed 16 previous resolutions. Now yes, many of the countries then backpeddled in their resolve to carry out 1441, but we did not, and we have succeeded now in freeing a country. Again, the RIGHT thing is hard.

  • From Wikipedia: "On 16 September 2004 Kofi Annan, the Secretary General of the United Nations, speaking on the invasion, said, "I have indicated it was not in conformity with the UN Charter. From our point of view, from the charter point of view, it was illegal."

  • right, in 2004 Kofi Annan tried to back peddle. That was 2 years after the 1441 resolution was passed *unanimously*. Like I said some tried to backpeddle in attempt to appease... appeasement is the enemy of justice and what is right. Like I said, what is right is never easy and rarely popular.

  • 1441 was about weapons of mass destruction, and the resolution said nothing about allowing the US to invade Iraq. And of course ther were no weapons of mass destruction. So what was the resolution that allowed the invasion of Iraq? Bush moved unilaterally to invade the country and 1441 did not authorze war. Wikipedia: "While some politicians have argued that the resolution could authorize war under certain circumstances, the representatives in the meeting were clear that this was not the case."

  • Actually jipoku, the resolution had specific deliverables that Iraq had to comply and cooperate with. The purpose was to ensure no WMD's. We now know although there were no stockpiles of WMD's that Saddam DID have mature WMD programs capable of manufacture whenever he gave the word.

the resolution requirements were to ensure compliance by Iraq, which they didn't cooperate with. Therefore the stipulated measures were fully justified.

  • The "stipulated measures were fully justified"? What does that mean? There was no explicit provision that allowed for invasion. Saying that there would be "serious consequences" does not mean that there would be an invasion, especially given that at the meeting about the resolution the participants specifically said there was no carte blanche for the US to invade. The UN authorized inspections and not an invasion.

  • McCain is running for president and not Palin. The truth is that we do not know who will actually be a better president. But from what I have read and seen, it seems that Obama has a plan for healthcare, the housing crisis, energy independence, and foreign policy while McCain's policies are not comprehensive. What is his plan for healthcare? He wants to do nothing. Drilling and a gas tax holiday are not policies but gimmicks to gain votes. The housing crisis? No plan.

  • Yes McCain's the one running for pres. The things you're listing as pro's for Obama actually speak to the fundamental difference between Obama and McCain.

Obama's big plans you talk about are all expensive and require bigger govt. You want to see the Peoples' power taken by govt & taxes go up? Just let them take over healthcare. Man that's SOOO dangerous we can't even comprehend what it would mean.

McCain on the other hand wants to cut govt spending & let you have more $ and freedom.

  • America is the only industrialized nation without comprehensive healthcare. It also has some of the earliest death rates and highest infant mortality rates of other industrialized countries. But America pays more of its GDP for healthcare than all those countries. GB's, France's, and Japan's economies have not collapsed because they have universal healthcare. A large reason why companies move to other countries is because healtcare is so high in America.

  • man, you should read up on the horror stories of people in canada for instance having to wait so long for surgeries that they die.

Honestly just apply some common sense to this. If you remove the free market aspect of anything, that reduces the competition, reduces the compensation and attractiveness for the best people to go to become doctors for instance, adds expense b/c govt is now more involved, and adds schedule overhead b/c the govt is so slow about things.

  • "Less govt, less taxes, strong defense. Simple choice." Except you left out the part about HUGE debt. Yeah, over 900 trillion dollars in debt, which has driven the dollar down by over 50% in the last 18 months. (I don't have the space to explain the economic significance of that), but luckily all my stocks are oil and defense stocks, so for me, Palin and McCain is a no brainer. Also, the majority of the things you are stating as fact are wrong, at least in your last 10 posts. Vote Palin.

  • if most things I'm posting are wrong then point something out. That's a pretty big claim with no backup. Anxious to hear back, especially since you're advocating my own pres/VP choices while bashing my posts lol

  • To play with your mechanic anology, the current healthcare system is like a mechanic not telling you that you have bad oil. Instead of changing the oil, he waits until teh engine goes out to give you a new engine. He makes a lot of money, but your car would have been better off if he had just fixed the oil problem.

  • ok I love your analogy about the mechanic now... and let's carry it out then. What's needed when you mechanic tries to cheat you... you become an educated consumer, and you use your own self interest to either double check the mechanic is trustworthy, reputable, etc.

Again govt isn't needed, and in fact wouldn't be able to prevent what you're talking about, and if they did, it would be super expensive.

bringing govt into it only outsources more responsibility that individuals should be taking.

  • But our bodies are not like cars. We only have one life. We can get a new engine and learn from our mistakes. But if we spend decades of our life not taking advantage of preventive healthcare, there is no way to learn from our mistake. We just die. I'm not a socialist. I belive in the free market and competition but it has its limits. For me a candidate who sees a problem and approaches it with a plan is inherently better than someone who thinks its fine to do nothing about a problem.

  • Also, if you apply some common sense to a for profit system, you will see the inherent problems with American healthcare. Most of the money spent in a person's life come in the last several months before death. That means that there is an incentive for the health industry to discourage preventive healthcare and to encourage expensive measures near the end of life. If the American system is so good, why is life expectancy lower and infant mortality higher in the US than other G8 countries?

  • "If the American system is so good, why is life expectancy lower and infant mortality higher in the US than other G8 countries? "

Uhhh, maybe b/c we've become overweight and never exercise? lol sorry but it's true.

Blaming the healthcare system for early mortality is like blaming your mechanic for charging too much to keep your car running, when you buy a jeep instead of a honda.

  • My argument was that there was an incentive not to encourage preventive healthcare. Exercise and a good diet are preventive healthcare advice that a physician could give to patients. But millions of people don't have regular healthcare and end up going to the emergency room when they get sick. Thus there is no preventive healthcare. The disease gets worse. They die earlier than they should, doctors and hospitals make profit.

  • Well I agree preventive healthcare is needed to a higher degree. I just say flat out that socializing healthcare is the worst way to accomplish that.

Like right now in the co I work for, preventive health care is being pushed more and more each year. Screenings, workouts, etc.

And it's happening b/c free market controls are working to push costs down that have risen too high. Govt isn't needed in this, it would only add to the already too-high costs.

  • But what about the millions of people without healthcare? Those emergency room visits for people without healthcare make the cost for all people higher. I agree that there is probably no perfect system. But having millions of people who work everyday not able to get healthcare for themselves and their children in the richest country on earth is a moral outrage.

  • jipoku, "having millions of people who work everyday not able to get healthcare for themselves and their children in the richest country on earth is a moral outrage"

Consider, healthcare is NOT a right. It's a need. govt's job is to protect our rights, not provide our needs. Adults are supposed to provide their own needs and their families'.

When govt tries to provide NEEDS, they have to force others to pay for those needs. health care should be a priority in every family's budget.

  • What about adults who can't provide for the needs of their children? We're supposed to just let children suffer without healthcare?

I really think that something is wrong with a person who doesn't know that most of the world was against the Iraq War. I feel sorry for someone who thinks the UN granted the invasion of Iraq. I think there is something morally wrong with someone who doesn't care about the less fortunate not having access to healthcare.

  • "We're supposed to just let children suffer without healthcare? "

of course not! We're conservatives, not heartless lol

No seriously, there is already, today, another socialized spending program called SCHIP that pays specifically for children's healthcare whose parents can't afford their own.

It's already covered, so this isn't a reason to socialize our entire health industry.

  • jipoku, The UN resolution is available if you doubt it.

morally wrong for me "not to care about the less fortunate"? That's just not accurate

I know that every person who has the physical & mental ability, if that person works hard, they DO have access to healthcare. There are exceptions, like elderly, children, handicapped... yes & there are already hugely expensive programs to cover them.

But I care enough about ppl to insist they be all they can be, & not rely on govt handouts.

  • Sailscats, I'm still puzzled that you didn't know millions of people protested in other countries against the Iraq invasion.

  • jipoku I'm interested now to hear your thoughts on what I said about corp/business taxes.

It's such a rarely-known, but obvious fact once you realize it... every single dime of corp taxes are paid by ONE entity... people. You and me.

Corporations simply do not pay taxes. So when Obama says he'll lower YOUR taxes but raise their's, it's literally a lie, either by ignorance or deceit. Either way it's a lie.

Like taking water out of THEIR side of the bucket but not touching YOUR side lol

  • Oh, well, you may have some good points, but you have to admit, since Gov. Palin came into office their hasn't been a terrorist attack on American soil.

You can't argue that. So, you should vote for Palin.

  • Oh I'm definitely voting for McCain/Palin. Main reason is they're for less govt than Obama is for & I believe what they say. To me govt is the enemy of freedom due to its consistent corrupt and power hungry nature.

You're right about not being attacked since Palin was governor, due I believe to strong offense against terror. Our enemy has said time and again they want to destroy us. If we give them a chance they will.

Less govt, less taxes, strong defense. Simple choice.

  • I'm voting for Obama/Biden for MANY reasons: 1. Stronger plan to revive our economy; 2. Higher priorities on health care and education; and, 3. They will restore our standing and respect in the world. We have been abandoned by almost all of our allies in the so-called fight against terror. And, right now, we need all the help we can get, given how Bush and the GOP have destroyed us and our image. And, although Republicans claim to want less government, they just want a government run by them!

  • damosh, you have every right to choose of course, but I'd like to just point out:

    1. Obama MUST raise all our taxes. He's just hiding most of the tax increases, instead touting INCOME tax reductions. Only part of the picture. You'll still pay more.

    2.socialization, less freedom.

3.Our allies are strongly for us. France even elected a proAmerican, free mkt pres. Germany, Australia, GB, Canada, etc... all staunchly with us. Media just wants you to think they hate us.

  • The reality is that Obama plans to cut taxes on middles class and working class people by as much as $1,000. McCain will lower the taxes for the same group by $300. Obama will raise taxes on the wealthiest Americans who can afford it. We have an expensive war that we are paying for by selling our debt to China and other countries, which makes us economically vulnerable. Raising taxes on the wealthy will help to solve the problem.

  • "Obama plans to cut taxes on middles class and working class people by as much as $1,000"

jipoku, Obama's camp has you so fooled. don't let them do that.

The amts you're talking are INCOME TAXES only. You & I pay so many more taxes than that. some show on your pay stub and some don't. SS tax, payroll tax, death tax, cap
