If you brush their teeth everyday from when you first adopt them, do they get used to it, and let you do it like that, or do they still fight, depending on the dog? My parents' dogs always fought, even when they made a weekly habit of brushing their teeth. Does making it a habit insure that they won't fight, or are there still dogs who will fight against teeth brushing even when it is a daily habit?
I grant that the brushing sounds pretty harsh in this vid- the mic is making it sound worse than it is. But those are my beloved darlings, and I am absolutely not hurting them. There is no way they would lay there like that if I was- they hop right on the bed when it is brushing time. And they all continue to have beautiful teeth and healthy gums that impress the vet.
You have to brush their teeth, the breed is known for getting periodontal disease and foul breath if you dont...their teeth will fall out early if they aren't cared for.
great! my Iggy Spirit do accept - but she don`t like it- after teeth brushing she gets a big award. A teeth cookie. I use toothpaste for dogs and a soft toothbrush

Nice to see that she is diligent with brushing the teeth but she seems to have the gentle touch of a jackhammer operator.

Beautiful dogs and excellent brushing tutorial! I hope my iggies are going to be as submissive when it comes to tooth brushing some day :)

Aw! Such a nice boy! :) One of my doggies could make a use of some toothbrushing. And he love mint so I guess I'll add that.

Do you use toothpaste?

I usually do use toothpaste. I didn't this time- I had run out. I'm not convinced it makes that much difference in removing gunk on the teeth.
