  • Lovely!

    Beautiful playing and very musical.

    Really nice. Congratulations.

    Ney Rosauro

  • Are u using the 4 mallet marimba grip or vibes grip because your hands are turned upwards like the marimba grip?

  • @MAC94BMP It's Stevens/Musser/Marimba grip. A lot of people use Burton grip for vibes, but when I played this piece, I found Stevens to be more comfortable.

  • your phrasing is interesting... and i like it!!! :DDDDDD everyone i hear that plays this piece(including myself.), interprets a different way and i really enjoyed the way you interpreted it. Good Job and keep doing what you are doing, because you've got some good talent :DDDD

  • There are no words... tears of joy and amazement in my eyes.

  • Very beautiful!!! You play with great passion!!! Loved it! Thank you!!

  • Amazing!

  • WOW you are very talented little girl

  • i have just LOVED this video for a long time now. It's hard to find someone that still plays with a deep sense of emotion, just beautiful. Would love to hear some more new music. Keep up the good work

  • Very good ;)

  • How many hours does she spend practicing a day?

  • bravo, bravo, bravo!

  • Thank you!! Encore!

  • It was good. I liked it.

P.s. Nice dampening ... on the VIBRAPHONE.... wow youtube comments are ridiculous. haha

  • this is soooo beautyful! you´re a real master!thx

  • i love it...... sounds like elevator music =)

  • I love this! Thanks for the video.

  • Yes you are right. The first repetiton she skips it but the second one she plays it the part she skiped :)

  • but u did play it at 2 40 waz that on purpose? cuz it sounds good :)

  • hey i bought the song cuz of this video and i just recognized how u played the song so slow yet finish before me all the time. u skipped something at 1:19 am i wrong???

  • Wow! Excellent playing, really musical, and you've already got a very sound musical maturity as well. Hats off indeed!

  • yea musser2007 im pretty sure slumsquirrel21 wasnt talking about the dampening but the part around... 2:12 where she could play out more instead of playing a dead stroke; perhaps pulling the sound out of the instrument like most vibe players do. Aside from the arrogance battles on ur comments here; very very wonderful job. Hats off to you young lady.

  • WTF...Why didnt I start this ealry!!!

  • Damn .. I'm a bit jealous ... I want to learn this too, but I probably never will ... shit live T_T

  • That was beautiful!! Keep it up and you will bring much joy to many people. Such a serene, peaceful feeling.

  • This is great... i just love the touch and lush sound you pull from the key board.

  • bellismo pezzo ma lo ha scritto Ney Rosauro? quando l'ho ascoltato per la prima volta da te mi è rimasto impresso. A proposito sei veramente brava! mi fai sapere se il pezzo è di Ney Rosauro grazie. Buona musica

  • Beautiful music and wonderful playing.Great job young lady. Go ahead!

  • slumsquirrel21,

Stop giving bad advise. This girl is playing beautifully, musically and expressivelly. That mallet technique you don't seem to understand is called dampening, and is used to make the vibraphone worth listening to. Something marimba players should also make use of.

  • Why would a marimba player need to make use of dampening unless called for in a special case. Those bar don't sing as well without proper aid, so to dampen would defeat the purpose of resonating the sound. And yes, there is a certain point where you hit a percussion instrument the sound becomes uncharacteristic, similar like a brass player "Blatting". Slumsquirrel was trying to offer advice on how to make the sound better

  • Sorry, there's no point in me telling you why if you can't hear it. The girl's intuition in regard to sound is obviously more advanced than what slumsquirrel21 is able to offer.

  • @c1981 If played to accentuate a suspended note I think dampening sounds good on a marimba, whether or not they resonate well. It really just depends on the piece, imo.

  • very nice, especially considering your age. I would work on lifting your inner mallets more, at louder areas it sounded a bit too heavy and the metallic bars kind of 'clunked', but its an easy fix. Otherwise, excellent job, sounded beautiful

  • Beautiful piece of music, beautifully played! Bravo, encore!!!

  • muito bom o video desta meninna tocando o my dear friemd´s.

    []abraços vibrafonisticos
