@sajtoscsoda This might be the case when the powerlines are switched on or off; fortunately this was unlikely to happen during the 5 min. we flew. We nonetheless did a couple of tests before the stunt to rule out any other kind of interference.

@heavyweather Toys are for kids and usually made of cheap plastic and bad electronics. But RC helis like this one are made of advanced materials, titan and carbonfiber, the strongest materials there are, and helis are always engineered to be the best with the newest technology known. This heli is made as good as it could be and engineers are always pushing the envelope to make it the best possible heli it can be, so I dont see it as a toy no more than I see Formel1 cars and racing bikes as toys.

To me and my friends all our RC equiptment is toys. We also fly camera equiptment on them...but you can still play around with it.

Why should toys be cheap and whats bad about playing with toys?

Most RC stuff is not very advanced technology. It is just a trickle down from other technologies. You can`t compare a toy heli to the real thing like you cant compare an RC car to an EV.

Theres more weight, more power, more security...after all a F1 car is manned.

This stunt may be foolish but the pilot sure as hell is good. Not only a loop around the lines but a "chaos" around the lines. On top of that, it's a pretty darn pricey heli! (Cha-Ching)

I'm sure it says in both the transmitter manual and heli manual DO NOT FLY NEAR OVERHEAD POWER LINES. What's more is the interference you get when you transmit near these large metal structures.

All it takes is for a hardware failure and it could have caused some major problems. It is not like servos, motors, links, belts, etc never have problems. This was not a very wise thing to do and definitely does not do anything to help the RC hobby. That said... the pilot showed some pretty good control during the pirouettes.

Wouldn't cut the cable, those things are steel and very, very thick. Might cause a brief line fault if the chopper blades were wide enough to bridge two phases, but the main thing that would happen is the R/C model getting nearly vaporized. He's a hell of a good pilot, but even so, this was irresponsible.

Incorrect is that we are being paid for the stunts. It only costs us money (as you would expect). :-(

es war nur so eine vermutung von mir. aber ein paar sponsoren habt ihr doch sicher sonst wäre das alles mit diesen Weltreisen jah viel zu teuer.

aber ich finde euer vieos einfach genial und die stunts die ihr macht. und das neue video mit dem three dee vor vielen sehenswürdigkeiten der welt finde ich einfach genial.
