When they recorded this, they were all off their heads, half the song Caleb sang the lyrics off the top of his head and made them up. Like when he sings 'jesus, dont love me' when he played the song when he was sober, he felt incredibly angry at himself for singing that, then realised it fitted with the song. Caleb didnt want to re record this song because he said it would take away the spark from it. amazing huh?

Funny story about this song.

Caleb never remembered recording this track when he was told it was going on the album, Him and the band were absolutely wasted during the recording.

And Caleb only had the first verse and chorus written before recording... The rest was just made up on the spot!

This song sounds like an "explosions in the sky" song with lyrics which is amazing! The album is great. There are a lot of complaints that their older stuf was better but its always difficult for a band to top there first albums. KOL set the bar so high from the beginning that there will always be debates over which album is their best. People, just enjoy the change and think about how boring it would be if each album sounded just like the one before. I enjoy being able to hear calebs lyrics now
