Why don't we just have an all criminals island? Speeders, gang members, dui offenders murderers, animal abusers, domestic violence, perverted politicians, you name it. Anybody who breaks a law, send them there. If you can find and island large enough. We are a prison nation, why is that? Because we do nothing to prevent crime, we cause more crime by not helping offenders. PRISON IS A BUSINESS AND BUSINESS IS BOOMING!!!!

It would be better to prepare in that island a large camp to send thousands and thousands of prisoners from all the US there and give them some food and water so they can survive. With only two police boats patroling the waters nobody would be able to escape. The suply of food and the water I would leave in the hands of charity organisations

I would also like to add that Mr. Hughes seems so confident that convicted sex offenders can grow their own crops and survive on their own on this island. Why doesn't anyone make the same suggestion for us??? We don't need government to run us. Just educate people in skills that matter the most to help everyone survive.

@BITARTEN It costs more to keep a prisoner locked up per year than most Americans make in a year.
This is for most prisons, regardless of the crimes. So it's not just a proposal here.
