There are other facts that he supprised me with for example not finding the Bible in the bookstores and it took him longtime to find one. All i know is, no1 is worthy of worship but God alone. There is only one God and there shouldn't be any dispute about who God is. Think about it, if we could not call anyone father then everyone on earth would be disobeying Christ daily, because we refer to our biological male provider as father.

Jesus came to die as the final sacrificial lamb, He died to pay for our sins. As He was holy and had no sin, death couldn't hold Him. So He died, paying our sins, and rose again, to give us a new life as children of God.

He prayed that if it were possible to not die like that, that God would not let him die there, but that the Father's will be done and not his own. The Bible says in Isaiah that Jesus took our sins upon Himself. The moment Jesus Christ cried out what you misquoted, was right before He died: the moment where the sins of the world were put upon Him and he felt the separation that sins makes of man from God, therefore the cry.

They were a figure of what would be done through Jesus. The Gospel is announced from Genesis to Revelation. The first blood shed for sin was the animal from whose skin God made covers for Adam and Eve, representing Jesus' blood covering our sins.

The idea that God would require that a man do good works to cancel bad works is offensive to God. God is holy! what can a sinner offer Him for his trespasses? It would be as an adulteress wife offering a good meal to the husband for her adultery. The husband would be more offended. So is God when men think they cad do anything for their sins.

@pamuk7 Human sacrifice cannot redeem anyone and is detestable to God, yes. However, Jesus is human AND God. The reason why he can be the final sacrifice is that He is sinless and death does not apply as a penalty for Him. Therefore, he is the only one who is able to redeem and give new life. You hae taken Matthew 9:13 out of context, because he is talking about the sacrificial behavior the pharisees imposed on the people.

The reason why Jesus says that (John 20:23) is because His death was a plan since before the foundation of the Earth, which is also in the Bible. Everyone was saved in Jesus, those who came before or after Him. He is why sins can be forgiven: "But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed." He does not considers innocent the guilty, but His holiness being satisfied by the life and death of Jesus, keeps God holiness when He pardons everyone who believes in Jesus for his salvation. This is God`s own plan. This is not something men could have thought. Men always think on merit. But no one has any merit before God.
