I think the 11.6 inch MacBook Air qualifies as a netbook. I don't know why Apple would make such a product that would easily bend and break.

Get the Mac Mini. You can get pretty much the same components, but with the $799 model you get a dedicated GPU which will give you better performance in OS X in general, adobe suite, and games. You can upgrade in the BTO store to the i7 dual core as well. If you do not care about playing games, you can get the server model which has a quad-core processor (i7 2.0ghz), or the base model for $599

Wait, this is my issue. Alright, I want a good macbook. I can either go with the Macbook (Normal) or the Air. The Air looks really nice and is light but meant for only light internet surfing and using Powerpoint and Word. The normal macbook is more powerful and better for games and Internet but not nice and aluminium and not as light. The pro is not expensive. Thats mt problem. A nice and light air or a better but not so nice plastic original model.

@shaked7895 I have owned macbooks, ipads, iphones and imacs. An iPad would never replace a good macbook (either air, pro, or white). I would go Macbook Pro if it is a desktop replacement because I need a bit more grunt then the air. However, I still think the Air is a great computer.

@shaked7895 No the iPad is no replacement for a laptop, especially for studying. It is just crap for input.

The new MacBook Air will prolly seem faster than a MacBook because it uses SSD (flash-type memory) instead of HDD (mechanical spinning hard drive) which makes a huge improvement in response/load times. I'm guessing the CPU in the Air is slower than the latest gen MacBook but you won't notice the difference unless you do things like transcoding or rendering.

@ssadw08 i currently have the macbook which a very good machine for school work however if you want to game i suggest getting the macbook air because the gaming runs on flash and it is also a good school computer. even though it comes with only 64gb of hardrive space you can by 500gb external hardrive for about 100 bucks. good luck. :)

I doubt that its going to be released on a Sunday, Apply typically releases their products on a Tuesday, assuming there is no event like WWDC. A release on Sunday is highly unlikely, maybe the 14th or 21st, if it is going to be released in June.
