I saw Starsailor in concert back in 2002 when they were part of the MTV Campus Invasion Tour. Starsailor performed on the MTV2 stage. They were awesome! Good Souls is what they closed with.
@TheStasihart i agree with that too!.... james walsh was and is s till fab!.... we need roots styles bands... they becoming far and few between nowadays.....
here is a band that could have been huge. great sound. awesome melody. james' vocals are killer...similar to jeff buckley. he has talent. i hope they get back together someday and write a killer album. i saw them at their first show in new york city..it was unreal.
What a lovely song,......I didn't even really like it at the time, but it makes you think about the few decent people you will ever meet in your life.
i like the lighting job they've done in this video.. makes me wish i could just go to some studio and ask them to show to me how it's done! ..and then play around with it!
That first album was so damn !!!!GOOD!!!! After that I dunno, I just didn't 'feel' the other albums like this one. The other albums aren't as raw and fresh feeling as this one was a/o is I guess I should say. One of the best records ever produced is this one ^^
....one of those heart warming simply stunning songs... Starsailor are an amazing band!! Best of British along with Doves, Elbow and Shack...all brilliant song smiths!!
Never heard of them. Got the Osbournes Family Album and found myself listening to this track over and over. Love Ozzy but this was the best on the CD.
You should check out Jimmy Gnecco and his band OURS. Jimmy picks up where Jeff left off, and I don't say this lightly, I loved Jeff. If you get a chance, listen to the Distorted Lullabies album from OURS, you'll see what I mean.

I almost feel that they could of been as big as Coldplay if they were pushed in the right direction.. Who am i to judge? These guys are great!! Unsung heroes
@VanCityKyle I TOTALLY agree, the energy this band has is a cross between coldplay and oasis, which sounds like a bad thing and dosnt give the band the credit it should have, but you'd think theyd have been bigger for that reason alone and the songs are strong, but they're still a big group, i thnik maybe i like the fact they didnt take the next step up to the stadium rockers echelon
I am a grown up 27 year old with a great career and i live a productive life....
In 2002 when i first saw this video i was a 19 year old crystal meth addict who lived with his parents and had no job and my life was hanging by a thread, i watched this video on muchmusic and fell in love with it, because at the time i wasnt a good soul and drained life from my community... thank god that was just a stage but this song takes me back and reminds me that life is good now!!

@LowEndGroover - Top comment mate. It's up there with a comment I read on Queen's - Flash video, regarding Dale Arden's "Flash, Flash, I love you. But we only have 14 hours to save the Earth". Cant stop a person being humble. I seen them at v2001 late on the second stage before they had the album out and a lot of people standing in front of them. The singer was clearly overwhelmed emotionally....
thank you! i've loved these guys for a while now. i guess the good thing is that they didn't get too big. the bad is that that also affects their income, ego, etc. bad timing that's all i think.

...i've seen them live too, they're very good, different but unnecessarily humble i thought...still,it's part of the charm i suppose

Cant stop a person being humble. I seen them at v2001 late on the second stage before they had the album out and a lot of people standing in front of them. The singer was clearly overwhelmed emotionally....
It was nice to see an artist humbled

thank you! i've loved these guys for a while now. i guess the good thing is that they didn't get too big. the bad is that that also affects their income, ego, etc. bad timing that's all i think.
