  • Nice theme. Great interpretation of Revelation 12. But is it still future that all things are subject to Christ in heaven and earth (Matthew 28:18, etc.)?

  • bts:

if i understand you - you are asking if any of revelation is future?

    I think so.

To the Matthew 28:18 verse - and similar, the standard response is "now but not yet"

Do you know what I mean when I say "now but not yet"?

just out of interest, do you believe *any* bible prophecy is still to be fullfilled?

    for example: the second coming?

  • I believe Revelation 13 is speaking about Rome and the US. Shalom

  • which bit of 13 - the first part of 13 (v1-10)? or the second (11-18)

    I believe 13 (v11-18) belongs with 14 (v1-5) as one block.

    what do you think?

  • I get Rome as the first beast due to the Papacy becoming wounded when Napoleon captured the pope in 1798 AD - which to me was the pouring of the 5th vial(Rev 16:10) - then later being healed in 1929 with the signing of the Lateran Treaty.

    (cont...)

  • I get the US being the other beast because from Revelation 12 where the women with "wings of a GREAT EAGLE"(Rev 12:14) flees from the first beast's rule. The woman is saved by the "earth" who swallows up Satan's flood(Rev 12:15) - the sea the "woman" was on to flee the beast.

The same "earth" that saved the woman from the flood eventually becomes the second beast in Revelation 13:11. If you take a good look at USA's culture and infrastructure - it is very Greco-Roman like.

  • Hello again. I have rated your video a 5 even though we have some differences here. I do not agree with breaking up chapter 5 as you do concerning past, at the cross, and the future. If you have not watched the other video I produced about this chapter I encourage you to watch. The whole chapter I believe is directly after the resurrection of Christ. Notice a lamb as it had been slain. Also as you point out the rest has taken place already. I may make a response video for this. GBU

  • you mean this one.

    watch?v=4a82P8QdP6o

I accept Rev 5 could be considered an illustration of the work of christ, rather than an event.

    I picked a bad example - how about 20:11-15

    future event - right?

  • I hope to have a video on 20 soon. I do not believe that this is future either. The video will help to explain my position on this. I have to tell you, I enjoy your responses and discussion. Thanks and God bless! I'll let you know when it is out.

  • really - wow - ok, i wait for it.

  • I would like to make a few comments brother on this video. First, thank you very much for your opinions on these things. We all need good Christian communication and your approach to discussion with the right attitude is much appreciated. In this first comment I want to say that I am not sure that John's audience would understand Revelation completely. I am not even sure that John himself did. He is writing the vision as he was instructed, many do not understand even today.
