exactly. One thing is drifting a 600 hp car on a freakin airfield with lots of room for correction. Another thing is actual rallying which takes place on roads so narrow, you can't put two cars side by side. Look at videos from WRC Rally Norway, for instance. Or WRC Rally GB.

I'm confused why everyone is sucking on Ken Block's dick. Why are they sucking on Ken Block's dick? I'm not sucking on his dick. I recognize that he is only so well known and popular because he spends a great deal of time and money making these videos and shoving them down the internet's throat for publicity. I recognize that he's an average rally driver with an above average ego and an even bigger checkbook. You recognize that he's superman. I laugh.
It's true - to an extent - but just like any race car driver, it takes money, and alot of practice. He he has developed his skill as a result of having money to do so! Most race teams are funded by very rich people - actually - the sad thing about motorsport is that TRUE talent is hard to find, but SKILL is easy to buy! I think he is a fantastic driver, he has the BEST coaching.
I don't drive though...must've taken a few "takes" to get this whole vid. And can somebody with race experience explain if this is the fastest way around such a course and why?
Surely keeping his wheels from spinning would mean faster braking and turn exit speed....
Its not as such a race course, so speed around this wont be the main objective. This is more of a rally course (to practice, not to race). Although, some corners like that WOULD be quicker, but others wouldnt. All depends on the car/car type and road surface.

Real rally drivers is driving in forest and small roads aboute 120-130 mph, not on open fields. Check WRC, in WRC are the real rally drivers.

@BEP1124 every rally driver. ken block = showman, like the most yankees. promotion for dc. its a bit funny you see ken drifting, and after that commercials for shoes. lol. nor oil ore exhausts ore anything else, no shoes. the guys with realy skillz come from all over europe in wrc. what did ken win in x-games (cant compare with wrc) second place victory?
he just shows off, for commercials, for promotion. and thats also ok, the scene is living from such showmen. its ok.

exactly. One thing is drifting a 600 hp car on a freakin airfield with lots of room for correction. Another thing is actual rallying which takes place on roads so narrow, you can't put two cars side by side. Look at videos from WRC Rally Norway, for instance. Or WRC Rally GB.

I'm confused why everyone is sucking on Ken Block's dick. Why are they sucking on Ken Block's dick? I'm not sucking on his dick. I recognize that he is only so well known and popular because he spends a great deal of time and money making these videos and shoving them down the internet's throat for publicity. It's true - to an extent - but just like any race car driver, it takes money, and alot of practice. He he has developed his skill as a result of having money to do so! Most race teams are funded by very rich people - actually - the sad thing about motorsport is that TRUE talent is hard to find, but SKILL is easy to buy! I think he is a fantastic driver, he has the BEST coaching.

I don't drive though...must've taken a few "takes" to get this whole vid. And can somebody with race experience explain if this is the fastest way around such a course and why?
Surely keeping his wheels from spinning would mean faster braking and turn exit speed....

Its not as such a race course, so speed around this wont be the main objective. This is more of a rally course (to practice, not to race). Although, some corners like that WOULD be quicker, but others wouldnt. All depends on the car/car type and road surface.

hey big fellla... not for speed but for show... like hell yeah he is smashing it and you are right that if he took an actual race line the "track" could be done a lot faster but he is show boating a lot hence the dramatic line with flamboyant drifts... help u a little?

he just does this shit for show and publicity because he's a self obsessed millionaire. The kids see the edited action packed footage and think he's the greatest racing driver in the history of motorsport, but he's actually just a rich dude with alot of time on his hands who is no better at driving these cars than any other guy on the circuit.
