@TheLoonwolf Correction... Though a search didn't reveal it, the 'Shelley' intro just appeared as a suggested video when looking at another old TV show intro a few minutes later. It's ALL here!
Dont remember Box Of Delights or Chocky, but i've got all ther others on DVD in recent years. I've picked up quite a few other series from the late 70's/early 80's (or earlier ones screened during this period), including Children Of The Stones, Catweazle, Survivors, Monkey, Star Maidens, Star Fleet, and others. Hope they release The Changing on DVD one day, and if that Water Margin boxset would just drop in price ... :-)
yea the Robin then was definatly more gritty and pagan! the stuff now is just weak... box of delights was great as well, they broadcast it so the last one was show on christmas eve 1984...
Tripods great, chocky great; just scared the hell out of me cause i was about 9 then.. what about the 80s adaptation of 'day of the Triffids'?
Wasn't there the "day of the triffids" aswell? Oh and totally off topic but do you remember that series called "V"? So many tv things disturbed me during my youth. Especially "Jaws" I still get freaked out in the sea because of that damn movie haha. Well this message was all over the place wasn't it? L8TRS! xx
I think there was a Day of the Triffids mini series not totally sure though. I have not seen V though i am sure i'll get round to seeing at some point. Jaws is quality i heard a rumour a while ago that they were going to remake it which i think would be beyond wrongness
There was indeed a six-part BBC series based on the "day of the Triffids" novel. It was broadcast in 1981 (repeated in 1984) and was pretty faithful to the original book. It scared the hell out of me as a child (and still does). Probably wouldn't affect the children of today though.
:O Robin of Sherwood was awesome the best version of Robin Hood ever including the films and the soundtrack for the series was utter quality also you get a young Ray Winstone playing a some what psychotic Will Scarlett. I put up some links to the series for people to check out.
omg: me too!

Odd how television appears to be becoming history... but then history and fantasy seem to dance on the edge of our reason...
