  • omg: me too!

  • i watched them all...ahh memories!

  • I've found every old TV show intro and clips here on Youtube that I've searched for. Except 'Shelley' the old ITV show.

  • @TheLoonwolf Correction... Though a search didn't reveal it, the 'Shelley' intro just appeared as a suggested video when looking at another old TV show intro a few minutes later. It's ALL here!

  • glad im not the only one who enjoyed box of delights.

  • OMG watched all them BLAKES7 was the one thought always dreamed of Jenna the smuggler she was so hot to a 13yr old lad!!

  • Man, I absolutely loved ALL those programmes. I salute your taste, sir!

  • 0:52 I think I had a toy looking like that ship about 25 years ago!

  • 0:20 I remember this one weird season finale?!

  • Dont remember Box Of Delights or Chocky, but i've got all ther others on DVD in recent years. I've picked up quite a few other series from the late 70's/early 80's (or earlier ones screened during this period), including Children Of The Stones, Catweazle, Survivors, Monkey, Star Maidens, Star Fleet, and others. Hope they release The Changing on DVD one day, and if that Water Margin boxset would just drop in price ... :-)

  • I've watched all these series, god TV lost a lot over the years.

  • robin of sherwood was tv at its very best

  • thanks for uploading this, all of the photos shown were indeed, quality shows, we were lucky to have grown up with them back then..

  • What's the music from?

  • yea the Robin then was definatly more gritty and pagan! the stuff now is just weak... box of delights was great as well, they broadcast it so the last one was show on christmas eve 1984...

Tripods great, chocky great; just scared the hell out of me cause i was about 9 then.. what about the 80s adaptation of 'day of the Triffids'?

    good video ...

  • Forgot about Tripods! And wasnt Robin Hood back then a lot darker than the crap they have for it now?

  • omg.I'd forgotten the box of delights till just then!

  • Chocky, Robin of Sherwood, The Tripods and V. Watched these among many others, saw all episodes. Excellent shows.

  • The Tripods looks like something I'd enjoy!

  • awesome choices Evil! Although "Tripods" scared the hell outta me lmao!

  • Damn!! Meant to say really well put together video :)

  • Thanks Featherflow. yeah tripods was quality i wish they had made the final series.

  • Wasn't there the "day of the triffids" aswell? Oh and totally off topic but do you remember that series called "V"? So many tv things disturbed me during my youth. Especially "Jaws" I still get freaked out in the sea because of that damn movie haha. Well this message was all over the place wasn't it? L8TRS! xx

  • I think there was a Day of the Triffids mini series not totally sure though. I have not seen V though i am sure i'll get round to seeing at some point. Jaws is quality i heard a rumour a while ago that they were going to remake it which i think would be beyond wrongness

  • There was indeed a six-part BBC series based on the "day of the Triffids" novel. It was broadcast in 1981 (repeated in 1984) and was pretty faithful to the original book. It scared the hell out of me as a child (and still does). Probably wouldn't affect the children of today though.

  • I've never watched this, but great video! Lol

    Thanks for responding.

    x

  • no probs and thanks :)

  • did it bring back special memories mine did ((((HUG))))

  • aye it did as did yours :)

  • Odd how television appears to be becoming history... but then history and fantasy seem to dance on the edge of our reason...

    Pappy mumbled it...

  • Indeed Pappy your mumbleing sense as always :)

  • heaven forbid LOL

  • Great selection! Apart from Robin of Sherwood I didn't recognise any of them though.. but they all look very interesting.. :)

  • :O Robin of Sherwood was awesome the best version of Robin Hood ever including the films and the soundtrack for the series was utter quality also you get a young Ray Winstone playing a some what psychotic Will Scarlett. I put up some links to the series for people to check out.

  • ignore suprise smiley i think i read your comment wrong lol shouldn't drink and reply to comments at the same time.
