Marines are not soldiers no more than airman are seaman. Would you stand by while someone rob your house? Or would you step in and teach that person a lesson. @jros83 Marines are not soldiers, they are marines (lowercase). Every country in the world has marines (lowercase again). The USMC was originally created to protect ships back in the days when ship's weapondry was limited enough to allow ships to get close enough for the enemy crew to board. The Marines were in essence sharpshooters would scamper around high up in the rigging of our Navy ships and fire on the enemy who was trying to board or had already boarded.

The USMC was originally created to protect ships back in the days when ship's weapondry was limited enough to allow ships to get close enough for the enemy crew to board. The Marines were in essence sharpshooters would scamper around high up in the rigging of our Navy ships and fire on the enemy who was trying to board or had already boarded.

@blixensd No just being in the military I dont enjoy when people get branches confused, a marine should be called a marine a Soldier should be called a Soldier, is that to much to ask. I wasn't trying to talk down to you like you snapped back at my comment. Its not "complaining and arguing like a child" it's paying the proper respect by calling them what they are.
