@rcb1952oct (laughter) That is so funny! Vanessa looks like she could be a burrito for the holidays except i can't stand the vague attempts of her trying to be cute. Vanessa is a thorn in everyone's side.
@retroglyph The part that bothered me the most was the heads of those animals hanging off Vanessa's shoulders. Guess she'd been hunting & wanted to show off her trophies.
@retroglyph I know what you mean. I don't especially like the idea of fur coats myself. I've even seen a documentary about where "faux fur" comes from. It would sadden you at best, shock you for sure. I do have one or two coats with a bit of a rabbit collar, but that's it. But unfortunately, that was the style at the time. I was just making a comment about where the idea Nola's particular coat came from because the one Liz Taylor has in her movie also has another woman's name in it.
@rcb1952oct I don't remember why Maureen is upset eather. Did she perhaps have a miscarriage shortly before this scene? I do remember that that was one of the more disturbing parts of her and Ed's relationship. But I do remember the heart necklace that Quinton gave Nola very clearly. What a lovely gift for him to give to her.
This was an absolutely lovely Christmas scene. As usual, there is something here for everyone. We even see the beginnings of the relationship between Henry and Bea. But I have to say the scene I liked the most was the one I completely forgot (or maybe I didn't see it to begin with), It's the scene where Quinton was dressed to help Tony get Company ready. I especially liked the fact that Nola was wearing the chincilla coat.
@thia912002 Thank you so much for contributing all these lovely visits to the past. I'm sure everyone here appreciates your efforts and the efforts of retroglyph. I'm certainly looking forward to seeing more in the future and also continuing to discuss them with people who appreciate Quola as much as I do.
@QuolaFan1 I absolutly love Quola since I was 14,always have always will. As long as Michael and Lisa have made them eternal icons to treasure,I will still love and admire Michael Tylo and Lisa Brown for creating the most loved SuperSoap Couple that any true fan will ever love in the world of soaps. Douglas Marland created a phenomenon when he came up with their characters for Guiding Light. Who would have ever thought they would capture our hearts the way they did and make us love them still.
@thia912002 I was a Senior in High School when I discovered them. From then on, it was love at first sight. There are other couples who have been special to me. But somehow, Quinton and Nola have always been on the top of my list, and always will be.
I guess in my case it had to do with Lisa being right around my age. There was something about her and Michael together that touched my heart from the first time I saw them together in that Gazebo. Why didn't we see more scenes with them there?
@QuolaFan1 Good question, perhaps quintnola has those scenes hidden somewhere or maybe retroglyph does. One can only hope. I remember hearing in the MP3 download how Lisa wanted a copy of the original scene of the meeting at the gazebo to view herself. Maybe it was cause that was a screen test she did with Michael, who knows. That scene was very romantic to me. I want to see it as well.I hope retroglyph has it.
@QuolaFan1 There are a few scenes of them in the gazebo yet to come from Quintnola and I know I have at least one. It's one of my favorites and I'll upload it soon. It's from 1982 and I've created my new channel icon from it.
@retroglyph Thanks so much. I'll certainly look forward to it. I'm guessing it's the scene when Nola tells Quinton she's expecting. That's certainly one of my favorites too.

I just got the "no pinata" dig from Vanessa who is wearing a dress made of aluminum foil, or so it appears.

@rcb1952oct I don't even want think of how many poor little animals were sacrificed for fashion in this video! I counted at least 5 people in fur.

Why is Maureen upset? And this has the scene where Quint gives Nola the heart necklace that I remembered.
