  • i know Jeffrey Daniel. Hes been to my house. =)

  • People are focused on one move out of Michaels gazillion moves. I dont believe Michael ever said he invented the moonwalk. As a matter of fact in an interview with Oprah...Michael said he learned how to do it from some guys that were doin it in the alley. Look at all his other moves...Sorry to say but none of these modern cats can compare.

  • Bill Bailey the tap dancer developed the moonwalk in 1955!

  • Mj is the best =)

  • Michael best Moonwalk

  • nani should celebrate scoring goal doing the moonwalk:)

  • They said Turbo taught Michael but IDK anymore

  • In California, in the 1970s, we would have competitions doing the robot, including the backslide... This was an African American thing. Only people who did not dance or who were not exposed to street dancers then thought Michael Jackson invented this...

  • Today, the age old dispute doesn't matter: the King is Dead; Long live the King!

For the record, Jeffrey deeply admired MJ, as we all do:

    "Shiny And Sparkly

    And Splendidly Bright

    Here One Day

    Gone One Night....gone too soon"

  • For LudeandLude: it seems like U got Michael's testicles in ur mouf...FOR REALZ!!! They jus' stated that Cab Calloway originated the moonwalk (or backslide), but Jeffrey Daniels pioneer'd it for the 70s, 'n the whole "breakin'" or "breakdance" movement (in which James Brown actually put into motion which U should already know). Man, it's document'd that Michael used to idolize 'n copy, 'n sing cover songs of James...

  • he will be 55 in august- just so handsome

  • Popping has nothing to do with the joints, it's a contraction and release of the muscles.

  • way wrong about bboying/breakin...... but popping wise he's good

  • Boody poping is a move, electro boogie is the dance and moon walking was all over NY with the b boys movement

  • But started on the west coast. See my reply to Adrrn.

  • my mom knows him

  • Good interview. Well worth watching.

  • im so glad i have melanin cos black dont crack man...he looks so good he must be 50 by now?

    Amazing dancer

  • Amen Applebaum - Jeffrey will be 53 this year! He's further proving that black don't crack and that age is JUST a number! Go Jeffrey - he's such an inspiration to everyone!

  • jeffery RULES!?!?!?!

  • Michael said he learned it from watching kids dancing didnt he?

  • michael saw kids doing it in new york when he was filming "the Wiz" but Jeffrey taught michael to do the backslide. but i dont know that it was 100% sure because i read it from some internet page (:

  • From Cauchy77: Concerning the moonwalk, Jeffrey didnt invent it. There where Jazzdancer before who did that move, and thats a fact. Michael absorbed everything he saw about dancing, its not that Jeffrey taught Michael Jackson how to dance. Thats nonsense. Michael is a natural talent. He is the greatest of ´em all because really no one could express the dance better, Michael has that rare rhythm, he feels it and he is enslaved to it. He lives the rhythm.

  • Possibly one of the best comments I have seen about Michael and I agree 100%.

  • Michael is and will always be the GREATEST ENTERNAINER OF ALL TIME!!! Jeffery is TALENTED AND HOTT!!

  • Dang LudeandLude...I mean if U watch'd this, they did say Cab Calloway originate, or was the first to do the move amongst a large audience...Jeffrey jus' pioneer'd it during the "break" or "breakdance" movement (which U can't deny James Brown put into motion)! 'N PLEASE...Michael watch'd a lot of people dance 'n took it 'n put it his own flava on it!!! Tha dude used idolize James Brown...ACTUAL FACT, so please get Michael's nuts outta ur mouf!!! FOR REALZ...

  • isn't is he like 80

  • he live sin japan,awesome

  • MIKES IS THE BEST THO!!!

  • Hello everyone!

So, Michael Jackson learned the moves from Jeffrey, hard to believe it :S

  • Why is it so hard to believe?

  • ill have to correct him on his break dancing point of view. break dancing definition is not spinning on the head or back!!!! its all about the culture and different types of dance types that you can combine within its actual dance...

  • This is great , thanks so much for putting this up. Pretty informative and fun to watch!

    peace to all!

VOTE NO ON 98, YES ON 99 SAN FRANCISCO JUNE 3RD, SPREAD THE WORD!

  • It was a little over a year ago!

  • what is that move called beginning at 2:18

  • Wow

  • wow. very interesting info i hadn't known before. thanks for sharing this :)

  • Wow Something to really to talk about.

  • Nice mini documentary interview.

  • on second thoughts..maybe not Michael jackson, but I'll add the moonwalking, body popping tags. Thanks for the suggestion

  • @sanpandy Did you take mj out of the tags because he didnt invent the moonwalk? Thats not the purpose of tags. The tags are simply to make it easier to find your video in relative searches. Id put it back if that is indeed the case.

  • @anthos818 :Was it ever there? I don't think so?

In any case MJ fans (and I am an MJ fan) make it into a MJ v s JD contest, which it isn't. It gets soooo tiring!

  • Thanks for posting this! You should put terms like "moonwalk" and/or "michael jackson" in the tags, so that more people will find it on YouTube.

  • hanks! I will..check out a new posting by ashash1000 showing the Maestro at work

  • Jeffrey Daniel pure legend - Soccer AM is the best !!
