  • 0:21 someone opens a beer

From Azores with Love :) !

  • We see comments about the difference between what alcohol does to people compared to pot. Here's something I can tell you from experience. The best passengers to have in your taxi are pot-heads. They're happy, mellow, easy going. The only thing they might be concerned with is if there's a BK or Mickey-Dees drive-thru open late at night. You couldn't ask for a better bunch. People that are drunk; I don't even want to go there.

  • They gonna legalize pot and lets gays marry?! I got to get out of this nigger loving hippies state!

  • @ArtVandalay1984 fine go to north korea and tell us how u love it

  • qyoper .. know how much violence exists because its still illegal ? Alchohol makes some people violent too. Pot does not make people violent, just the opposite. You can overdose and die on alcohol, can't from pot. Grow up. The majority of your facts are wrong. Typical display of fear and ignorance.

  • I can't believe we are even considering legalizing this stuff. Its illegal because it is dangerous, um.. duh! I can't stand how people compare marijuana to alcohol, it doesn't make sense. Alcohol is popular and safe in moderation. Dope, on the other hand, can lead to even worse drugs, and it impairs your ability to drive WAY worse than alcohol. Know how many stoned drivers are killed each year? Its a ridiculous number. It also causes cancer, pneumonia, bronchitis.. it goes on like that.

  • @qyoper Hi,i just read your comment. Please youtube:the union, the business behind getting high.If that documentary does not convince you 100% that marajuana should be legal then ill be truly AMAZED!!enjoy :)

  • @qyoper wow you are ignorant. Did you say alcohol is safer than Marijuana? How many people die from alcohol overdose drunk driving and liver failure every year? 75,000. How many people die from anything related to marijuana? 0.

  • @RocknRollaRevolution So in other words you're conflating the bad sides of both drugs in order to justify the legalization of the latter? Do you even see that you just made a strong argument AGAINST legalization by admitting the comparison???

  • @qyoper uhm your an idoit dumb and blind weed can not and will not ever kill u its a FACT weed is safe no matter how much u smoke its people like u who have ruined this country is go die or be killed by a drunk driver

  • @qyoper either you're a troll or very retarded

  • @qyoper Don't bother--these idiots just want you to keep paying for their fantasy reality where everything is free, while all the rest of us pay for their healthcare, their car insurance for their dumbfuck accidents, and while they fund a fullblown streetwar just over the border while pretending they have nothing to do with it.

  • so what the hell happened? this was posted on the 16th of march 2011. its still illegal right?

  • 7:31 lol @ Jodie's smirk when Dickerson says her mouth is dry... PASTIEEEEES lulz

  • ...dickerson

  • i truely feel if weed is legal in new york it wont be like cali its guna be grown with all this shyt in it from the growers because there guna try to grow tho most they can it will be just as bad or worst then tobbacco when the gov. is done with it ... but i want it to be legal so my mom could shut up...

  • One word PLANT! That's what our genius elected officials have made and kept illegal a PLANT!

  • @CreatorCade That's a really weak argument. Stuff like opium and salvia are plants too.

  • the 4 dislikes can suck my ballz! xD

  • Emery in the back! <3

  • @loudoggg29 - The only things harmful about cannabis are prohibition and the cops who enforce it.

  • Legalize the marijuana already. nuff said.

  • BE WISE.....LEGALIZE

  • hell yeah im tired of spending my weekends locked up for smoking pot

  • weed made me think of how good this life could be made me feel calm and relaxed..people get killed on overdosing on medications this legal prescription drugs??how many people get killed every year on drunk driving and domestic violence, shootings all alcohol related??how many people get sick from the many deceases tobacco causes?.weed will offset all of these negative damaging shit these two other legal drugs have done and i could go on and on..LEGALIZE MARIJUANA!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • THIS IS AMAZING! i cant say big words like everyone else

  • RON PAUL 2012! AMERICA! HELL YEAH!

  • I DON'T FEAR NO PLANT LEGALIZE THE FCKING PLANT

  • fuck the stupid ass red neck butt fucking government for taking too long on stupid shit.. shut the fuck up and legalize weed so u can get back to your damn nascar.

  • i love you jodi

  • 7:43 ..... cottonmouth? hehehe

  • i cant take the lady talking seriously with her lazy eye hahaha

  • I think they are under estimating the amount generated within thew USA, and the sale to other countries could be astronomical.

  • Greetings from all of us at the Cannabis College in Amsterdam. The truth is out and the bubble is going to burst. Cannabis has over 2,000 proven medical applications, incl. the possible cure for cancer. Our politicians and dare I say it, our religions continue in their vile propaganda. They are all lies.

  • Imagine if all the states legalized marijuana...

No one would have to fly to Amsterdam anymore. No one would go on any sort of a list anymore.

It would save employers LOADS of money on the hiring process... no more drug testing before hiring.

Legalizing drugs & spending the money on infrastructure, for example, would save many many lives... both on safer infrastructure & stopping drug cartel violence.

  • @esigus u forgot that itll help with the overcrowding of jails

  • LEGALIZING MARIJUANA IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO! AND I WILL FIGHT TO HELP LEGALIZE MARIJUANA FOR RECREATIONAL USE UNTIL THE DAY I DIE!

  • WORK ON SOME OF YOUR SPEECHES AND STAY OUT OF STARBUCKS BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO VOTE AGAINST MARIJUANA LEGALIZATION! WE HAVE ENOUGH BARS ACROSS THE STATES TO HAVE STARBUCKS SERVING ALCOHOL! i WANTED YOU TO SEE THIS SO YOU GUYS WOULD FIND OUT JUST HOW FUCKED UP OUR GOVERNMENT CAN BE!ALL WE NEED IS A BUNCH OF CAFFEINE ADDICTS HIGH ON ALCOHOL AND COFFEE! SEEMS TO ME MARIJUANA IS WAY SAFER WITH COFFEE THAN YOU MIGHT HAVE ORIGINALLY THOUGHT! DIDN'T YOU JUST BAN "FOUR LOCO" FOR THE SAME THING?!

  • Now that wasn't a congresionally amended action it was regulation contorted by the administration, which is out to destroy everyone, and they did, very well they did, when they KILL the entire benefit of wallstreet for newbies, the FX or trading of CASH against EURO's.. If they have their fingers out of the cookie Jar, I damn sure could have got off ssi, it was a resource and i had control of it, till then. Pot, is not any different, it's a resource for anyone, and they had to shut it down

  • If the regulators had not stomped out short sales, and created the FIFO rule, and had not eliminated hedging, which is a trading term used for massive companies based on the whole point here agreed? SO when you consider regulation, consider this, One could any one could, before oct of 2010, trade regularly, and because of that, the economy started to pick up, till Janurary, when all the regs hit us. Each person could click every minute, taking profit, from opened positions, no matter when

  • People should NEVER be told what to grow or not, but the FACT IS, if you ask anyone, GOD GAVE MAN THAT PLANT TO HEAL ALL THE NATIONS< it's in the bible, and on that basis, I urge all Americans to protest and amend the constitution to also reflect the religious right of those that find it extreemly important aspect of their religious beliefs. THAT BASED ON EVERYONE"S BELIEF< is why they went around the people to make it ilegal. People are not allowed to NOT BE A TAX SLAVE PERIOD. SLAVE UP BOY

  • It needs to be realized as a religious and personal higenic not regulated by the govt due to the religious implications, the state has no right to regulate religious actions not violent or bloody or evil in it 's nature, then it's not taxable, this is how most every pot smoker feels, that the govt should NOT regulate, allowing people to freely raise their plants as house plant, or farmer, without anyone to tell someone what they are to do or not, PERIOD.. that is the way the founders grew

  • THere is huge income from the private owners incomes from the running of stores they make sales tax's too, so that man lied.

  • This bill would not make it possible for people to smoke, and would put people into jail for it anyway, there is not any way ONLY liqures stores can get to sell it, that is a monopoly, and also will eliminate the bulk of the economy it could produce, in favor of govt controled sales force..

  • @trickpatcon DAMN RIGHT THANK GOD THERE IS PERU HOLLAND NEXT ITS GOING TO BE CANADA OTTAWA ONTARIO I LIKE A BEER BUT I HATE GETTING DRUNK SO I EXTREME RESPECT LOVE MY WEED EVEN IF I DONT HAVE A WAY TO GET SOME NOW AND IT SUCKS MY BRO SMOKES WEED AND HE WOULD MUCH RATHER BE A WEED RAT SNAKE AND SAY I CANT A FORD WEED AND HE SMOKES WEED AND HE DONT NOT MAKE THAT MUCH MONEY AND STILL GETS WEED THATS NOT RIGHT AND MY MOTHER SHE IS SO MISS FUCKED MIND INFORMED ON WEED SHE THINKS ITS COCAIN WRONG

  • JUST LET WEED HAVE ITS FREEDOME IT WOULD BE A MUCH BETTER PLACE ON THIS WORLD FOR US PEOPLE BETTER GAS AND OTHER THINGS YOU CAN DO WITH WEED TO HELP OUT YOUR PLANET AND JACK RIP WOULD SAY YES TO FREEDOME OF WEED CANCER ITS SHOULD NOT BE MENT FOR THE GOOD PEOPLE ON EARTH CANCER SHOULD BE ONLY FOR THE SICK MINDED EXTREME BAD PEOPLE .. SO I SAY HAIL LONG LIVE WEED FOR IT WILL NEVER DIE GET THE REAL HARDCORE DEADLY DRUGS OF STREETS THE BLACK MARKET CANADA HOLLAND PERU CANADA HOLLAND PERU WEED RULES

  • The hysteria over the dangers of marijuana are more dangerous than the drug itself. The taxation of marijuana alone could pay for universal healthcare and public education. The truly sad thing about the whole issue is we spend more money on prisoners than we spend on public education.

  • if marijuana was legal we wouldnt have people running pot illegaly............like really you make it ilegal then complain about people running it across the borders and then caling them criminals...wow goverment thats low.

  • legaize marajuana and help to bring this fucking country out of this duebt the government created!!!!! government is the reason most of us are suffering, loosing our jobs, and starving. take a stand aganist the fucking man! if nothing is done soon, we're all fucked...........

  • dirty pot smokers

  • gay marriage is beyond my understanding.. but that's not my choice..

cannabis use is mostly harmless if you don't over ;frickin; do it..

my issue is HUMAN RIGHTS.. let people do what they want to ..

moralizing & trying to control humans is a pointless unwinnable argument.

help bring the best out of people.. that's the way.

we need to teach humans to be compassionate & loving ..ENLIGHTENMENT is the GOAL for all.

  • Fellow cannabis activists: I'm tired of feeling like a criminal for doing nothing wrong. I'm tired of having my rights repressed because of a silly triumph of conservative fear and ignorance of the one drug that never kills anyone. Our complacence is the reason we are repressed. It's time to speak up and make our voices known. Know your facts and spread the word. Don't be afraid.

Copy paste, if you think its a thumbs up.

We are not criminals and I'm tired of being made to feel like one

  • @csccdog, u say conservatives are responsible. but im a conservative, and i love me some buds. if u want to get something done, man up and stop pointing fingers. we are all americans.

  • @csccdog "For doing nothing wrong"? Your dollars have directly funded the murder of over 50,000 mexicans, none of which will be ended by legalization. A drug that never kills anyone my ass. Only a stupid ass american could say such a thing, while a fullblown street war rages just over their border.

  • @thereinliestherib Most cannabis in the US is homegrown or from Canada. Why isn't there drug wars in Canada?

Prohibition does not work. What happened to the alcohol gangs in the 20's? Oh that's right, they legalized it and the crime stopped. It's simple economics. The drug war only exists because Big Pharma is making billions selling you the same drug with a different name. If you can tell me what drugs i can or can not use, can i tell you what food you can or can't eat? Obesity kills too

  • @RocknRollaRevolution That's a load of crap--first of all, one look at Yakima's insurgent gang violence completely contradicts the claim of where WA pot comes from. Your arguments per "Big Pharma" are a complete hoax not worth addressing. The cause of the drug war is writ large: American drug money. You can't win a war when your own people are pumping BILLIONS into your enemy's coffers.

  • @thereinliestherib Big Pharma is a hoax? LMAO what have you been smoking? SOMEONE CALL 911 this guy is a criminal!!!!

  • @RocknRollaRevolution The longer you keep believing in conspiracy theories and fantasies, the longer our country will be in decline. It's embarrassing, really.

  • @thereinliestherib I'm guessing you also think alcohol companies and private prisons don't lobby to keep cannabis illegal as well. Wake up, corporatism does exist in America. These are facts, your just so Fox and CNN brainwashed you couldn't see the truth if it smacked you in the face.

  • @RocknRollaRevolution Oh boy--here we go. Another pothead zombie who believes corporations are to blame for every problem in this country, when dipshits like you are the biggest source of profit, since you all glut the "corporate" healthcare system. And you do realize the self-defeating argument of comparing pot to alcohol right? Alcohol policy has been no success either, so all you're implying is pot legalization would only worsen our national stupidity...

  • @RocknRollaRevolution But please, continue. I enjoy the entertainment, and I also like to tease out just where you cookie-cutter pomo's get your propaganda from.

  • @thereinliestherib You going to say anything of substance? I'm military Vet so calling me a bum was great, I appreciate that. I'm glad there are so many patriots out there like you.

  • @RocknRollaRevolution You're a fucking vet??? You're not a day over fifteen. If you had any sense of duty or integrity, then go ahead and take credit for the 50k dead Mexicans whose deaths you directly financed through pot and whatever other drugs you took last night.

  • @RocknRollaRevolution And yes, the obese should have to pay their own rates too--for both food and healthcare. Its called proportionality--the higher risk you are, the more you pay. Why is that controversial? It certainly is when you're a free-riding American bum...

  • When is this and is this for a certain state? like washington? or nation wide? on a federal level?

  • really cigarettes shud b banned

  • "i need some water because my mouth is dry" hehehehe

  • if only every state was as progressive as washington :/

  • If we could legalize gay marriages we should legalize marijuana....That's fair

  • @Nubisayz2012 i completely agree

  • @Nubisayz2012 yeah you would think gay marriage would be harder than cannibas because more republicans have a problem with legalizing gay marriage than weed and yet NY did it before weed although of course california legalized weed before NY did gay marriage

  • @Nubisayz2012 CANADA CANADA CANADA HOLLAND HOLLAND HOLLAND PERU PERU PERU HAIL WEED FOR IT SHALL NEVER DIE FOR IT FUCKING RULES

  • @Nubisayz2012 I've decided that I don't have the right personality to smoke the stuff myself, so why should that stop anyone else from enjoying it. Legalize it and bring your economy a boost to boot.

  • @Nubisayz2012 Lol, gay laws has nothing to do with cannabis laws -_-

  • wtf 15 a gram fuck that

  • Yeah my homestate! Yippie!

  • It will become legal once all these old farts are dead and younger people are running the show. Lets legalize it and make things out of the hemp... And smoke it to relax and love life. Come on America be cool :)

  • Man imagine a world where every day after work I could smoke weed and sit on my deck and watch the clouds float by. Wait.... I do that any ways. Just waiting on the gay Governement to make it legal. Come on it's a fucking plant...

  • I love this women

  • Who is that girl in the background? I want her.... She's f'n beautiful.

  • @letmeseethat1 Keep watching - the next video, part 2, has that woman Jodie Emery testifying.

  • @PotTVNetwork Amazingly beautiful. Marc is a lucky man.

  • @letmeseethat1 this is her channel dude, and she was talking to u. lol

  • @letmeseethat1 Fuck off. I love her!

  • Just Decrimanlize it in Maryland and Washington. look how much it has help California, We can do so much with Marijuana period! just from Hemp! just Decriminalize it! plz, do something for the People.....We Want This! :)

  • how gay, am i just understanding this wrong or is ALL THE MONEY made from taxing marijuana going to health care for abuse?

  • what would be the argument for this........ No it illegal.........C'mon goverment do something cool for a change!

  • fucking hot milf in the back

  • @The420DubStep thats jodie emery lol

  • why does she have dry mouth ?

  • @Blu3sBroth3r i got something to water it. : D

  • im gonna grow me a few trees in my backyard

  • if alcohol is legal why shouldnt weed be legal, how many time have you heard of someone gettin drunk and killin themselves or someone else or being abusive, or dying of liver and throat cancer (my grandpa) from all the alcohol over the years, now how many times have you heard of someone smokin a joint or somethin and have that shit happen to them? never right... there is no documented case where someone died from cancer from weed, as a matter of fact it helps fight cancer

  • what are they waiting for??

  • yes yes!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!! were getting closer and closer! YAY!!!! the second it gets legalized im throwing a BLUNT BLOCK PARTY!!!!!!!!

  • please do it so i can prepare the upsetting resolution to the 2012 menu

  • I would do this before 2012 i will note it and bring a post ___________ for you!

  • Marijuana is not a drug, it is a plant. When you light it on fire and breathe the smoke, it has some relaxing effects. Tell me how this can be illegal!

  • @TReed438 I say this, anything manufactured (Meth, cocaine, etc) is a drug. Anything natural like weed is not a drug. I don't know what the fuck it is but its not a drug!!

  • @TReed438 I know right? It drives me crazy and makes me sick how people criticize it so

  • is it me or did someone crack a cold one @ 0:19?

  • @flowmaster4

ya i bet its a fucking stupid deit coke

  • Alright my view on pot legalization: Alcohol, some drunk bastard goes home and beats the hell outta his old lady.

Pot, some high bastard goes home, eats a sammich and takes a nap.

  • very inspiring, gives me hope.............live mary jane

  • the government has to stop dictating its people!!! this is the USA not nazi germany!! the US constitution was made from hemp! its a damn plant!!! look at alcohol thats more dangerous, messes up yer liver and kills thousands on highways each year!!

  • DO YOU THINK MARIJUANA SHOULD BE LEGALIZED?

CHECK OUT WHY I THINK SO

  • HAHA! Do you hear the guy in the back 'sigh' when he says that bill legalizes the possession of weed. Just at the 0:25 min mark.

  • @rafi1313 He cracked open a Pop just before the sigh.

  • @wornskibum Till then I guess all the profits of marijuana will just have to go to the outlaws and cartels. I guess they gotta eat too.....

  • I noticed the date of this is the date I was sentenced in Utah for Possesion of a gram of Marijuana. Just the possession of it is costing me around $2000 dollars. $635 for the initial fine, $420 cost for being on probation for a year, $320 for 16 weeks of drug/alcohol classes, $75 dollars for a meeting with a counselor to assign to classes, $15 for every single drug test I have to take, and probably other expenses they haven't told me about. Not exactly the honest way to bring in pot revenue....

  • @poisonsting83501 well im not sure what you are trying to say but i smoke 1/4 ounce $100 every 2 weeks 2500 year most people smoke 1/2 ounce $160 every 2 weeks 4000 a year

  • @Wornskibum and how much of that money goes to your state?

  • @poisonsting83501 well since we spend about 5 billion on trying to keep pot illegal plus if it was nation wide legal thats about 6 billion so saving 11 billion dollars of the tax payers money sounds good to me

  • i love these people <3

  • End Prohibition.

  • ( ( 9:48 ) ) Your just streettalk. Knowledge is poop responsiblity.

  • Can someone get me up-to-date on this bill and Initiative 1135? What's it at right now?

  • All the opponents' arguments are moot... people who call it a gateway drug are citing that it leads to the use of other dangerous and (rightfully) illegal substances... that's true, in teens, but if it weren't illegal, it wouldn't be grouped in the minds of teens with those other substances and therefore would not lead to that experimentation. It's been in the wrong category for too long. Weed is not dangerous enough to prohibit, its absurd that its taken us this long to end its prohibition.

  • "you will no doubt hear fears expressed by opponents of legalization, and"..." I can relate to those fears. But as you hear those fears expressed, please ask yourself and your witnesses, "how might those fears be rooted in prohibition itself" In other words, don't let yourself get caught up in those fears, instead try to recognize that it's difficult for anyone to envision a legalization landscape for cannabis, which has been driven underground by prohibition." most insightful thing said

  • It's cheaper to legalize than to penalize..

  • It's cheaper to legalize than to penalize.

  • guess there waiting for Monsanto to step up to get there greedy hands on this

  • U.S. Patent # 6630507

  • If one state would step in and legalize marijuana. It would make other states do the same.

  • Don't forget to subtract the cost of prosecuting, and jailing cannabis users...so that's called a savings!

  • there needs to be at least a million views, i know there are more people then 7,606 in washington, that support cannabis. keep fighting the good fight.

  • Why are only half of the seats filled at the beginning of this hearing?

    Recall those missing people already.

  • prohibition isnt working for murder, or child molestation either. Should that be legalized too??? Its illegal to kill people and molest children but people are doing it anyway. Maybe if that was legal, less people would do it!

  • @KripDrip Hurting other people or stealing their property should always be illegal and punished. But doing something that doesn't hurt anyone, and helps many, should not be illegal and should not be punished.

  • @KripDrip if around 40 percent of people thought that murder and molestation was ok then yeah sure. the sheer volume of people being penalised for cannabis shows that it should not be seen by our society as a bad act worthy of prison. if the polls are so close on something, then why the harsh penalty.

i get your point but clearly there is more to it than to declare that kind of likeness.

  • @KripDrip Smoking marijuana is a victimless "crime", you know nothing about sociology. There are victims to murders and child molestations. The percentage of people who murder and molest children are FAR way less than those who smoke marijuana.

You, sadly, are one of the far right conservatives who are as close-minded as they come. The funny thing is, I'm a registered Republican and a conservative, but I also have MANY liberal views; one of them being the legalization of marijuana.

  • BONERRRRR!!! :DDDDD

  • non-related topic, the chic behind the guy is hot.... i mean hot ... =D

  • yay marijuana gonna be legal :DDDDD

  • this dude is boss! oh yea im hella high!ahahahahhaaallololl

  • Its a fact that alcohol and tobacco have killed millions of people. Its also a fact that Marijuana hasn't killed anybody. WHY IS IT ILLEGAL?

Time to wake up, the economy is shaky at best and we are turning down the billions that would come from taxing Marijuana. Not to mention the time and money saved from having to enforce the law against it.

To the antidrug folks out there barking about how its bad for you: You drink coffee or soda? Because caffeine has killed people before.

  • Haha I wonder why her mouth is dry.

  • marc emery's wife in the back!

  • @oldschoolsg I'm not just sitting there for this hearing: I was invited to testify too. I'm in video Part 2 - be sure to check it out.

  • @JodieEmery yes I know i watched it all :D

  • i am a little stoned right now. does this mean time to legalize ?

  • Let me just get a little bit of water here, cause I have dry-mouth. Haha. Jk. But seriously, I have that same water jug.

  • I'm for legalization but there is one thing that everyone seems to be overlooking. As we know it's a multi billion dollar industry , so what happens to the people that rely on that industry once legalization has passed ? Do they all get a layoff sip so they can collect U.I. ? Welfare ? What you gonna do with millions of people that suddenly are without a job that rely on selling marijuana ?

  • @BIGPOLEHERBEAR who are you refering too? They will go from crooked cops/ criminals. into law abiding farmers.

  • Ok, that its totally fucking jodie emery, correct?

  • I hope this passes. God put that plant on this planet. I am an alcholic that is forced to drink but I drug of choice is marijuana. If I could buy marijuana in the stores, I know that I would not have a drinking problem anymore. I have never in my life seen a plant that has more uses. It can and will bring are country out of dept. or at the least it will help us out more then any other program out there, to bring us out of this downward spiral that I see are economy is doing

  • Politicians that make sense what is this? Don't worry Emery, you may sit there in prison, but always know that you made a great sacrifice for the better good thing. There is no sense in cannabis prohibition. Thru unity on this issue we can end prohibition.

  • Jodie!

  • Lol around 0:20 you hear the camera man open a soda and sigh

  • @bakedorfriedman That was actually a Representative who sat right below the camera that's mounted on the wall behind the Representatives - I saw him come in with it and we all heard it pop. :)

  • I apoligize for my ignorance, FREE 50x50 FUCK YA FUCK YA FUCK YA.....HEY EVERYONE GET OFF UR ASSES AND LETS GET ER DONE!!!!!!!!!!

  • Why is her mouth dry? eh? Eh?

  • We have crapy soviet style liquor stores though. I would support it if they wopuld have allowed for the free market to take over the liquor stores. But it has been completely state controlled for 70 years since prohibition ended. We pay double the cost for booze here, compared to states like California. Get rid of the state liquor stores and let the free market sale both.
