@debdoesdxb Doves can actually have a pretty long life. A friend of mine has been performing with the same dove for 19 years now. As far as the "thread" goes, in respect for the art I will not elaborate too much but let's just say that what you are implying is not exactly correct. In fact, many times there is nothing attached to the dove at all. Think of it this way... If it was as cruel as some of you are thinking, don't you think PETA would be all over it? I hope this puts some minds at ease.

@makalelesohas I appreciate your concern for the animals in magic. Before becoming a professional magician myself, I was also concerned. Although I can not speak for every performer, all of my magician friends as well as myself that work with birds are very kind. Note, they are doves not pigeons. They can be trained to "respond" but are not intelligent enough to retain long commands or routines. The magician in the video used food coloring to color the doves. It's harmless but not my thing.

Cruel to the birds . There chests look very swollen from the thread , There are ways to produce a dove without ripping its feathers out and handleing the way you do .. These animals earn you money and its very sad to see them been treated like this . As for murphys comment below .. NO it doesnt take years or months to train a dove , These birds are threaded , NOT allowed in UK now . Doves dont live for years, they are not parrots . And i guess treating them this way , he will go through many .(

Doves have a life span of up to 25 years if properly taken care of.

@astrobox no... it doesnt need that many years to do that as in pigeons are quite inteligent.. as long as u give them food, practice with the same music when u perform on stage and keep practice.... the pigeon will get used with the routine. but think about it.. how many times u practice with them?? its really a cruel act =(

w pierwszej sztuczce wystarczy nie podążać wzrokiem za białą chustką przyjrzyjcie się jego lewej ręce... :D przy pałce z ogniem wyciąga gołębia z rękawa :D w następnym triku również widać dokładnie:D wsztuczce z balonem widać że zaczepia kciuk o coś pod marynarką a w kolejnym "popisie" wpadka całkowita bo nawet widać że gołabek jest do niego przywiązany:D
