i discovered this song on a complilation album of arabic music a few years ago. This is one of my "uplifting" songs - guaranteed to lift my spirits and sometimes even make me cry! For me, he has the voice of an angel and, because he wrote it for his father, is sung and produced with love and soul. A (Colombian) work colleague is married to an Algerian and he kindly translated it for me,. I think it is one of those pieces of music that transcends language, culture, race, religion etc.

It's from a CD called Dellali by Cheb Mami.

You can buy it on iTunes or any other place you get music. The song is called Ana Oulache and I also love it. In case you didn/t know this is the guy who sang Desert Rose with Sting, and Sting sings backup on this song as well as a Gospel Choir. He has lots of other great songs, you shouild check them out.
