  • when you add weight to a neon, performance goes out the window

  • Yo anyways The SVT Is electronically limited I have an 03 SVT And I only have a chip in it And I had it up to 160 mph Let's see your scion do that

  • Haha dude since when did the new scion Tc come with 180whp haha that's the crank rating man!! I used to own an 00 ZX3 and I put a lot of people in their place with that car lol I own a SVT Coutour and now 07 Si half built and TUNED lets try that Scion against me!! Lol

  • I just bought this same SVT Focus about two months ago. It ran good when I bought it, it runs even better now. Ford lists the 170 HP Focus SVT at 2,590 pounds. The 6-speed gearing is unreal. It drops only 800-1000 RPM on the shifts. The SVT is in the power band at all times. In fact, 80 MPH is still 3500 RPM while those other 5 or 6-speeds are loafing along for peak MPG. This SVT is a blast. Check out my video's on my other car, I know what I'm talking about!

  • I have a TC2. a stock SVT focus has what 171 hp? my tc has 180 hp and a six speed manual gearbox a fully ballanced steel forged crank and full roller valve train. I have dual VVTI for intake and exhaust, your OMG fast focus has vvt on intake only :( I have dual intake runners your svt has only one :( and Im not speed governed, stock Im drag limited at 135-140 mph and gear limited somwhere around 170mph. and with a simple 8psi turbo I will put down 340 whp .

  • @Byronthecarguy Cool story bro. an SVTF is drag limited at about 140mph too, and with a small turbo also makes 300+ whp. The SVTF also has a forged crank and rods. Oh and the SVTF has a 6 speed too. Basically you are saying you paid more for a heavier car with the same specs? GOOD JOB.

  • @kylesvt720 Actuly let me give you the specs Ford- 2.0 Zetec DOHC VVT "intake only" it does have dual liength intake runners forged rods (cast crank and pistons non balanced). It features 170 Bhp (at crank) and 145lb ft Torque weight for the SVT is 2800 lbs with a six speed manual gear box. It can run 0-60 mph in 7.5 sec 0-100 mph 25.0 sec and has a standing 1/4 mile at 16.0 sec.

  • @kylesvt720 Scion- 2.5 2AR/FE DOHC W/dual VVTI intake and exhaust dual stage intake runners, fully ballanced steel forged offset crankshaft (cast rods and pistons). it features 180 whp (at the wheels) and 173 lb ft Torque weight for the TC is 3060 w/six seep manual gear box. it can run 0-60 mph in 6.5 sec and has a standing 1/4 mile at 15.1 sec. it is drag limited on a "level surface" at 133 mph. the SVT is drag limited on a "level surface" at 125 mph.

  • @Byronthecarguy You obviously don't know shit, and I have no clue where you got the SVT Focus top speed, but its not 125. Look at the horsepower and weight numbers you gave, there would be no reason for it to top out at 125. Most magazines rate it at 135-137mph for top speed in their comparison tests.

Mind you I am a moderator on the largest focus forum, and have tested the top speed at a drag strip and hit 139mph (GPS verified) IN a stock SVTF with only a K&N panel filter.

  • @kylesvt720 I dont think anyone cares if you are a Mod on a forum lol Ban Me Please LOL jack ass, I have worked in the automotive industry for a long time I have even worked for Ford and BMW. you dont have to make shit up to save face or try to prove yourself to me. I know my shit and i think its time for wannbe imports to pack it in.

  • @Byronthecarguy You are right, a new Scion TC that has similar specs to an 8 year old SVT Focus should pack it in. Grab a new TC, and I'll grab my 2013 Focus ST as soon as it hits my dealer, (already have a deposit in) and we'll see which is a wannabe car...

  • @Byronthecarguy Your Must be getting your MPH and KPH mixed up

  • @Byronthecarguy And this is 2011...SVT in 2002 had 170 crank..forged internals, dual stage intake, and vvt on the exhaust cam. So basicaly your saying it took your 2011 TC 9 years to catch up. And say good by to your TC when the 2012 Focus ST comes out ;) SVT Foci were made for 3 years... limited edition and production run and kicking ass on autocross and road coarses. I love turbo TC....but love my SVT Focus more for lift off oversteer, trailbraking, and getting it sideways!

  • @Byronthecarguy

sorry to admit it bro but i live here in LA and i liked scion tc's at first but everyone has one its ridiculous. i bought my svt focus because there is like only 4 in the valley ive seen. i see like a hundred scion tc a day

  • My 2011 Scion Tc will smoke both of those cars!

  • @Byronthecarguy haha an svt focus will walk away from a Scion, and the best part is that they respond to tunes/bolt ons a hell of a lot better
