thats not treu..competition isn't about real fighting..of you train good self defense and semi contact fighting then there is no reason why you shouldend be able to defent yourslef in a real fight.

they're soooo fast!! i think the whole point of this style of sparring is sport, not necessarily how realistic it is...I wish i could kick that fast!

Of course ITF works much more.
I wish the ATA rules were more like ITF, not "point, stop".

ITF it's not semi-contact. i am itf competitor for 9 years. And i had to many knockouts. I don't think so that ITF is semi. =]
I know that wtf is good, but i love itf. I AM TAEKWON-DO son. =]

I am so glad I train ITF Tae Kwon-Do. Our sparring is only semi-contact and not half as violent as this - well ... maybe! :-)
