I have this brush and YES you can close it!! On the actual end of the brush is like a button tab to open it or keep it closed. You have to pull it out or push it in,

is the brush as hair damaging as a straightener? because i use a straightener (and tresseme heat spray) but i still get split ends. will this decrease the amount of heat damage or will it be the same as a regular straightener?

Thanks for sharing! I went to CVS and they had the brush on clearance for $7.49!! My hair was so silky & shiny after using it. And there is a tab at the bottom of the brush, when you close the brush & push it back in it will stay closed :)

If you look at the bottom of the brush, there should be a plastic square sticking out, if you play with it, itll clamp the brush shut!

i have a question about your curly hair. i have straight-ish wavy hair, and i was wondering, if your hair is naturally curly, does it stay curly for longer or curl better? because mine curls fine but the curls fall out so quickly there's almost no point lol :) my hair is quite long but not that thick, so i don't know if it's because it's too heavy or what. but do you know any ways to keep it curled longer? i've tried like everything but nothing seems to work hahaa :( thankyou!!

My ends are completely fried but I just dont want to cut them, what do you suggest for really dry ends? (My hair is naturally straight and medium to thick hair not coarse at all)

@beneathyourlove unfortunately i have the same problem): no amount of deep conditioning ever fully hydrates my ends so i just resorted to cutting it. it really does help! but if you dont want to lose length, just cut it gradually so you eventually cut it all off and get nice, split end free hair(:

Yeah I guess cutting is the best option, but I'll rather trim the ends myself than going to a salon, cause they probably cutt off 5 inches or so!
