-A 'V-Engine' (v4,v6,v8 ...etc) is the configuration of a commonly know internal combustion block. The way the setup is made resembles a "V", hence the name. If it was a rotary-powered engine or something of that sort, you wouldn't call it a, "v-6, v-4 ...etc."

inline 6 and V6 are 2 different setups buddy

inline is a straight 6 where the cylinders are lined up straight down the center and a v6 is 3 cylinders on each side in the shape of a "V" where the deck is 90 degrees from each other making a v shape...

I KNEW THEN, and I KNOW NOW the differences between the two engines!!!! THE CONFUSION layed with some B.S. info that I was fed awhile back.

I was told the Toyota Supra MKIV's 2JZ were V6s, not straight 6s. So this whole time I have been going along ASSUMING (stupidly) that they were V6s.

Intake, exhaust, and serious tuning can break 400 hp on a supra pretty easily. They come with 325 stock O.o

anything more then that, internals need to be replaced.

thats because the Skylines and Supras have the inline 2.5/3.0 engines, meaning all the cylinders are in a straight line

and most of it is alot of computer tuning, you average Supra has about 450hp with some medium modifications, guys go thru a complete rebuild to gain 1000hp which is what im currently doing since my Mustang is finished

and the V6 Mustangs and Camaros are detuned, a friend of mine has a 700hp V6 stang

@beto903 1000hp v8 mustangs and camaros are a dime dozen. same thing for supras. imo reason ppl make big hp in rb/2js over v6s is the balance of a inline 6. same reason w/ high revs 9k plus revs are popular in L6's not so common in v6s tho. lol 7k revs in a big block is probably scarier then 10k in an L6 platform just my .2
