  • Had another look at engineering drawings of the fulvia engine - in my model the valves in both cylinder banks are not far enough apart. I suspect there is not enough desaxe - the intersection of the cylinders is actually further below the crankshaft axis than I have it. I will put up a revised version soon. Also I will tighten the distance between the cylinder pairs. The aprilia is better in this respect.

  • Very cool but the crankshaft is wrong, the big end journals are very close together on the two throws. It is balanced as two V twin engines. :-)

Hi - I have checked photos of the actual crankshaft and my model is vert similar to the photo in general layout i. up-down-down-up. I'm not completely sure if the angular difference is 180 degrees though. Is this what you meant? In the real motor though the big end journals are closer together axially.

  • Hey guys - give my aprilia one a look too - more complex mechanism using a single camshaft from 1930s! Vincenzo's last car.

  • Might do a Lancia Aprilia motor next - what do you think?

  • Grazie, Gianluca!

  • Great video!!!!!!!!!!!!!
