@TOTALLYCOOLBELIKEME3 I rode every coaster at Mt Olympus multiple times, and have been on 150 coasters throughout the country. I think I know which is which.

Hades is the steel structured wood coaster that this ride passes under. Hades is known for it's two tunnels under the parking lot....this ride doesn't have any tunnels. You can clearly see Hades multiple times in this video, but the ride this was recorded on is Zeus.

@GBear2323 I actually like wood coasters a lot more than steel, and I've been on my fair share of both. Look up Boulder Dash at Lake Compounce in Bristol, CT; better than any steel coaster I've been on.

@GBear2323 Maybe better than Zeus....Cyclops might be small but it's one of the most intense things I've ridden, more so than Wildcat and Comet (went before LR was built). Hades is pretty good too. And it depends on what Six Flags you're talking about....they have some pretty terrible wood coasters in the chain.

That ending looks terrifying!! (Good thing only one train runs on that ride!) Do you have any idea why the train overshot the brakes like that, and does that happen often?

@Mechum22 Basically since the ride has one train, a computer system isn't necessary, so the brakes are manually operated. They stay closed by default and a release/dispatch button on the panel opens them. For this to happen, the operator just held the button too long so the train didn't stop on the right point. I have seen it happen occasionally, but this was the most drastic I've seen. Usually about the most that happens is they miss the lap bar release in the station and have to cycle again.
