sprint usually ends up being at least $1000 cheaper for a 2 year contract then atnt. Personally i do not like the iphone, nor atnt's service. And with sprint you can get the simply everything plan which is unlimited everything for $100 a month, and with atnt it would be much more for that kind of plan. hope i helped

in my opinion (i have an iPhone 3G) get the pre. The iphone gets extremely boring after a while and you just will want a fast phone. The iphone is kinda laggy and it is not quick to get to some basic things

Sprint TV is free, the phone has a App store. You launch the app store from the phone and download what apps you want. Most are free at the moment.

Well its on Sprint, so almost everyone gets the everything plan witch is pretty cheap. Everything plan covers everything. Thats why you don't hear people talking about internet rates ect on Sprint, because the everything plan is what most people get.

So I think it has to be covered via your plan or you will be charged, but the everything plan is pretty cheap and if you was to get this phone you will most likely get that plan.

I agree... I've watched other vids on the Pre, and its about as good as it gets. Everything syncs together flawlessly. This phone makes the iphone interface look like a cluttered bunch of icons.

Um, the iPhone was "evolutionary" too. Windows Mobile does everything the iPhone does minus multi-touch. The biggest draw is how awesome it is in terms of interface and form factor.

The palm pre isn't even out yet. Of course it has almost no apps. Trust me, if the phone is popular (and looks like it will be), the number of apps will skyrocket.

Tons of phones have had the ability to record video, MMS and copy/paste. I fail to see how Apple is revolutionizing those features. The user will have a better experience with the app's demoed here on the Pre, two of the main factors are, multitasking and Sprints 3.5G network.

The iPhone doesn't have the connectivity features the Palm Pre does. Go look at the other videos by PhoneDog to see what I'm talking about. iPhone also doesn't let you multitask, doesn't have a slide down keyboard, etc.

iphone doesmultitask in a sense (for example with safair, maps, etc. u can listen to music at the same time) but not on the level of some other phones (like the Pre) becuase it drains the battery drastically, they explained it in their 3.0 keynote...but they will be adding puch notifications for apps so when u close an app u can receive alerts so u know to go back in and check whatever it is u need to check.

Apple tries to explain everything... just like how they explained PowerPC processors are superior to Intel Chips.... Powermac vs. Mac Pro's anybody? Windows mobile does multi-tasking and a lot of those phones are lasting over a day. My Touch Pro lasts a full day and a half to two days.

So how about you go back and check the claims Apple has made and compare them to your 3.0 keynotes buddy.

Palm states some keystrokes will be "press and hold" and this can also be done with a capacitive screen. This is especially important because while your cheetoh covered fingers are dancing around your device your not accidently throwing up your notification screen, which is meant to be unobtrussive.
