The ball was down, on the floor, when the player gained possession of the ball, he was NOT down. He gained possession just after his foot lifted from the floor. Even if he was down, high school doesn't use instant replay, and from the ref's POV the ball didn't break the plane of the scrimmage line, and was still live.

re watch the footage almost the entire plymouth team was on the field and only the head coach on Glenn was on the field they would have gave both sides warning first before throwing flags. and you are right Drewbie about the play. Go Rockets.
Plymouth coach gets the loss and no one should really get a win... The officials made a good call. Holder can handle the ball with a knee on the ground because he is the holder and unless he gets contacted while in possession with the ball while on the ground it is still live. So regardless if he picked it up while his knee was on the ground doesn't matter. Down should have been replayed though because coaches were on field and refs were just wandering around to cause further confusion.

coaches and players from the sidelines on both teams were on the field. The play should have been redone. Chaos!!! bad call by the officials
