not at all! the way that this was supposed to work was the lower part of the flame "the blue part" is the part of which that you can hold without getting burnt period. just a little warm. But with the fuel I used to light it it made a tiny little blue spot so if i moved much at all...which i obviously did the orange flame would move and burn me haha.
