  • Their story is so sad and it really shows what humans would do to survive. La Sociedad de la Nieve by Pablo Vierci es un libro sobre su historia y cuenta la historia desde el punto de vista de los 16 sovrevivientes, el libro es muy bueno, lo recomiendo.

  • thanks for posting! i'm speechless :o it's sad but amazing at the same time to know what they had been through :(

  • Thank you so much for posting this youtube needs more people like yourself. Gracias my brother.

  • omg this is intense. gracias por esto hermano/na.

  • Fito's water makers were awesome.

  • @GorterPoss Fito doesnt get the credit he deserves at least in the eyes of the public. Not only did he create the water makers but he also had the idea for the seat cushions to be used as snow shoes bc when they first attempted to trek they sank in the snow bc it was so deep. He also created man made sunglasses out of materials from the plane so they wouldnt burn there eyes from the sun reflecting off the snow among other great ideas he had to help the overall cause.

  • @bmillerdrums Bobby Francois also deserves credit for being so cavalier and undauntingly casual about their predicament. His profligate smoking of cigarettes also helped prompt a rationing of the cigarette supply.

  • Thank you so much for sharing this excellent doc film. Wonderful to hear this story in their native language. Although I enjoyed the movie 'Alive!', I get a much better sense of who these 'boys' actually were in 'real life' this way rather than seeing a Hollywood dramatization with English-speaking actors. Very touching listening to these survivors tell their very personal story so many years after the actal event, to see how it still affects them even today. So much bravery & courage!
