  • Great video honoring a wonderful coaster. I remember the first time I rode it. The swoop turn off of the lift hill scared me half to death. Felt like the cars were gonna rip right off the track. MUCH faster than I expected.

  • This same coaster layout also was built at Knobels Amusement Park in Penn...and also bears the name twister. Nothing will ever beat the original!

  • this has so many similarities between mr. twister and twister 2!!!! cool :D

  • Thanks for posting this! Where did you get the footage? It brings back great memories of my favorite coaster of all time. I rode it 31 times in one day as a teenager, all in the front seat, of course!

  • @maperdew

Glad you enjoyed the "ride" - one of my favorite coasters, as well. I produced and directed a film with Vincent Price (AMERICA SCREAMS) and this is one of the roller coasters that was featured. It was shot with the camera mounted extremely low on the front of the first car between the tracks. Frankly, I've never seen a coaster mounted as low as we got this one. We were very pleased with the angle. I was very sorry to hear that this coaster had been torn down.

  • @luckyzert They rebuilt it!

  • Not Twister 2!

  • @Keevin80021

Correct. Not Twister 2. This is the original Mr. Twister that has since been torn down. It was at the original location of Elitch's Gardens, before Six Flags moved the park (and built a new Mr. Twister).

  • @luckyzert Yeah, your right, I didn't know all that much, but now (or the last time I was there) it was called Twister 2.
