@JoeDull they have had him playing with them on tour for a while now. His name is Mike Vennart and he was front man of Oceansize. He is amazing - why is this a problem? They play some pretty huge venues now so understand why they'd want to flesh-out the sound.

It's discouraging for people who are in those bands, like myself, that as soon as any 3-piece starts playing "proper" venues they need to get someone extra in. Just seems to me like a safety net. I would say that if you need 4 members to play your songs live, recruit a fourth member permanently. Just another thing I loved about Biffy that's changed since Only Revolutions :(

The don't 'need' a 4th member to play the songs as is evidenced by the fact that they haven't taken Mike to USA/Canada. Oh and he didn't just start playing with them after OR (not a fan I take it?) came out he had played with them in the past on occasion...

@mrsschneebly I've stated my beef pretty clearly, I suppose we'll have to agree to disagree. You've certainly picked me up wrong, I'm a huge Biffy fan and have been for years. However, I've only had the chance to see them live twice, once being an intimate acoustic show, so Mike wasn't there either time. Also, to be fair, it's some feat even noticing him in videos of Biffy's outdoor performances - the camera shots never focus on him. I've no problem with their tour keyboardist, all that said.
