Nope. Graphics are the same in both means.

However, if you play in ad-hoc/wifi, the person who has a UMD will lag more, and the whole group will be lagged even all others load the game with a MS, and a person holding PSP-1000 series will lag more than someone holding PSP-2000 or PSP-3000 series.
