  • I am also having the same issue as user gilltypro. I have the RCA red/white audio jacks going from the dock to VCR/DVR in. And I have component going into component 1. I changed the input display so VCR/DVR shows up as DOCK. I also reassigned the VCR/DVR input on the receiver to use component IN1. However, the on screen display is not showing. I set my dock to component mode as well. When I connect the dock straight to my TV's component input, the OSD works fine, but when it's connected to my r

  • @ronaldcanojr Hi, please verify that you follow these sections in the manual: Video Output Mode (page 9, #4), OSD Mode (page 9, #5), Setting TV System (page 12) - if you still experience trouble, please get in touch with our support: customercare_eu@eu.onkyo.com Thank you

  • how can i connect a 'sony icf- c1ipmk2' (ipod dock) to a speaker system? or just speakers in general?

  • Finally! lol

Should have done this way earlier.

It took me quite a bit of time to have it hooked up.

  • will the UP-A1 support iphone 4s?

  • @jessiemanjack Hi, in general, this is possible as the output connectors for video and audio are standard RCA connectors. In addition, there is a dedicated IR remote that allows control of playback. Some Onkyo specific features will not be available - e.g. controlling the dock with the AV receiver's remote control (which requrires connecting the dock and the Onkyo AVR or stereo receiver by means of a separate RI cable)

  • So i did everything you showed in your video I am getting audio but cant seem to see the video transfer onscreen. What am I doing wrong?

  • Is it possible to use it solely for a remote extension? My amp is in a unit and hate having to keep the door open al the time just to use the remote

  • @tshirtjohn Hi, unfortunately this is not possible. A possible solution would an AVR with IR IN (e.g. TX-NR709 and higher) and a commercially available multiroom kit (eg. from Niles and Xantech). You can find more information in the TX-NR709 manual (on our website eu.onkyo.com) on page 85.
